I enjoyed reading the blog Hi Crystal
June Curtis sent me the blog as i was interested in reading about your work in India. You sound like you will be making a difference in many lives and families.daughter and her husband live there and have made india their home. They are e involved in helping the people there to find purpose and meaning in their lives even in very dark situations.
I know what you are talking about when you see people helpless to send their children to school because they can't afford to. Many without any hope of any kind.
Great Job.

I have just returned from India and had been there for two months. My
travels Crystal, I was sad to read about the death of your father but loved hearing his wise words to you and your sisters. Continue on and remember the hymn, "Here I am Lord".
I look forward to reading your blog as you travel about the other continents. Thanks to your mom and sister for their contributions to the Squalor to Scholar Program!
Best wishes to you,
Mary

just to say hi Hi. It is so great to hear from you. We are all so proud of what you are doing. You are showing just how strong of a young woman you are. I wait to read more. Love always uncle Larry aunt Jaye and the girls.
You make me Smile! Another great blog Crystal...you can make the words leap from the page, and make things reality! I could almost image the smells...(no let's be honest, I have no idea how bad the stench would be)! It made me cringe! But your positive attitude made it bearable! LOL What a different world you are living in! I bet you can't wait to be home to take a deep breath of Saskatchewan fresh air! I am so glad you can laugh, and find humor in such a harsh reality....Love You
ps...please tell Mamta....Strong, independent women don't have "an expiry date"!!
From Smiles to Tears Wow Crystal, what a great journey you are on...and what a powerful writer you are! You took me from laughing and cringing in you last blog, to tears and gratitude in this last posting. You and your team are doing wonderful life changing things in India, and I am so proud...I also see so much of your father in you when I see how much you want to help people, yet, always stay grounded to think things through. That is such a wonderful quality...I'm sure your 'team' appreciates it also, making them think below the surface!
And yes, God definitely has a plan for your life, I don't believe it was a coincidence that the song, "Here I am Lord" was sang at the church service you attended...
I am so proud of the women you are, and I am so grateful, that I can in some very small way, help make your desire of education for Anita a reality.
Stay true to yourself, and know how much you are Loved, by so many! Safe travel in the weeks ahead...
Thanks for the laughs! That was wonderful Crystal, thanks for sharing of those 'contradictions', your words can always make me smile...I am so proud of all you are learning...and I bet you can hardly wait to come home and take a long deep breath of Saskatchewan fresh air!

Feb. 26/12 Hello Crystal...I am so glad to hear you are doing great on your trip...absorb the culture, food, and landscape. I feel compassion for you and your family at this time and understand your loss as my father passed away from the same type of cancer...and it took me about 5 years to pass the card section and not feel a lump in my throat, most times I just went home and left the rest of my shopping for another time. I feel his presence at times and think of him often, though now with a smile of contentment knowing he is okay now. That too will come for you and your family. God Bless you and your family and may he help to carry you through this difficult time and also to keep watch over you and bring you home safely. Much love across the miles Crystal.
