Hey Ted. Sorry we lost touch. I envy your travels to S. America. I recognized most of your critters and sites from my vast armchair adventures, e.g., with BBC, Public Television, Discovery Channel. I would like to send you images of my sculpture. Some, I think, will appeal to your dark sense of humor. Some even have animals.
In case you are wondering, yes, I am still pale and unhealthy looking. A true cityzen. (No chance of catching malaria, though. By the way, I honk for habitat conservation! )

Fabulous! Hi Ted. Your Mom just sent me the link to your "blog"! What an incredible adventure you're having. You are preparing for a lifetime of amazing reflections.
Enjoy every minute!

Potoos are cool. Nice Potoo Photo. Did you hear it call? We tried to find one in Peru in 2004 but had no luck...It has one of the most amazing calls in the bird world. Nice shot of the Falls too. Enjoy!
Welcome back Ted, your photographs are stunning. Thanks for the tribute to Tim, though you must know that our last name ends with -En. Hope to see you in Central Oregon soon.
Ted´s reply back to Tobias And I tell you, paltaman, you as a travel buddy and as a photographer are ¨WONDERSHON¨ (as they apparently say in Swiss German)!!! I miss your company and crazy adventurous spirit.
oregon notes Hey Ted. We're admiring this installment of stunning photos. Enjoy the parental visit--we're envious. Best regards to you all from Tumalo.

we had a great time down in Patagonia! Hey ice-cream-man, it is me, paltaman.
Just wanted to tell you hello from cordillera blanca, peru and tell you that I miss you as travelmate. We spent such a creazy time together pedalling and hiking in Patagonia. It was wonderful and I will never forget this adventure.
And I tell you, your travelblog is awesome man. Thanx a lot!
CONDOR PICTURE 1 in a million Wow Ted.
That Condor picture really is amazing...one in a million. How did you get it? I don't remember you having wings in college? Nice shot!

It looks like you´re creating some increadible memories! Maybe you can give me some tips for my next trip to Argentina because it looks like you´ve seen some amazing things there. Felix, Puchy and I wish you well on the rest of your trip and hope to catch up when you return. Have fun!
Can't wait Checking out this blog entry again and dreaming about our adventure in April with Monkey-Man. I wonder where you are right now and what your doing. Probably something adventurous. xo, Jimbo
What? No fish pictures Wow! This is the best travel blog ever. We miss you but Mom is already packing for the Pantanal so we must be close to seeing you. Uncle Andy lured me on to the squash for the first time in the milennium and I came away with several broken fingers but no broken spirit.
Lots of love
Wow! Just think: you will never be this free, this fit, or this young again. Your photos are spectacular; you could get a travel outfit to pay you for a slide show. Serious. Best regards and love from Oregon.
Recycled plastic Ted and Matia-
Just catching up with your travels after a long absence. Great photos and stories to keep those of us who are closely tethered to the home front, connected. Looking forward to the TDF report.
Stay safe!

lovin' it! Ted, thanks for hooking me up with your travel blog. Your pics and journal entries are great--looking forward to reading and seeing more along your travels as we freeze here in the gorge. You're lookin' pretty happy in your self portrait pics! RT
Thanks for the inspiration Ted-dog, nice travelogue you've got going. I say, when in doubt, let the kids show you the way. Never mind if they've just chiseled you out of cash for some ice cream. That's their mission in life, after all.
Okay, have an awesome trip and keep us posted,
Shea
Your maps rock Ted, Good to get a personal email from you, and to read your last blog entry. Your site looks amazingly good considering how limited I imagine your access to computers and the Internet is. I wanted to compliment you on your detailed Wayfaring maps, and to let you know I am now a member and a fan of this map-making service. Our current U.S.-Canada route is traced at http://www.wayfaring.com/maps/export/25778. Stay safe trekking alone up there in the Andes! Ciao, Shelly
minerals Ted, I was pleased to see that your face and the serpentine crystals are starting to look very similar - crusty and salty, yet full of promise. I am trying to draw parallels between your travels and the committee meetings I had this week, and all I can come up with is that we have both spent a good deal of time this week staring into space - you into the distance, and me into the middle distance, generally towards the snak wafers... Do you want me to send you some non-dairy creamer? Oh and it looks like your air is fresher, since you don't having to sit next to Mr. Graeshburmbt like I do... I think I'd better join you some day! Nice work, keep the pictures coming -- my favorites are of course the ones of you! --Al
In June 2006 I quit my job as a habitat biologist working with the Port Gamble S'Klallam Indian Tribe (Hood Canal, Washington State, USA) for some travel and adventure in South America...trekking the Andes, exploring the Amazon, surfing some, getting bitten by lots of nasty insects, and searching fearlessly for the most tasty burrito in the world...... full info
