We left Peyia at 0800 hours and travelled steadily along quiet motorways to Limassol bus station. I say steadily as we chose kaz as our mode of transport. (Very old Indian Maruti, top speed 80km per hour) with the added assurance that no speed cameras would bother us. 10 Days and counting. However, at the time of writing this entry, there are political problems in Thailand. Bangkok National Security Council spokesperson announced today that they may declare a state of emergency in and around Bangkok. Selfishly of course, I can't help but hope the situation is resolved before we arrive. Fortunately, our itinerary takes us straight from Bangkok Airport to Pak Chong, a 2-hour drive away from the troubles, to the outskirts of Thailand's third largest National Park in the North East district of Nakhon Ratchasima. We make our way back to Bangkok on 7th February, where we are booked to stay at a little old B&B called the The Old Bangkok Inn. Europe January 13th 2014

First entry to record our first great adventure together, hopefully the first of many. We currently live in the Paphos district of Cyprus and will be flying out of Larnaca Airport on Friday 31st January 2014, escaping the mild but wet winter month of February. Our trip will span five weeks and we have compiled a full but flexible journey starting with one week in Thailand, followed by four weeks in Vietnam. We are very excited to be making this trip to the Far East, the first for us both. We will hopefully make this blog a record not only for us, but for our families and friends to enjoy the highs & lows, joys and disasters as they unfold.
