We had a killer storm here on wednesday night and after all the heat and stress of our days, we all let loose and ran around like wild things in the rain and hail. One italian boy that was with us, was saying that we were running around like chickens, but bfore we knew it he was untying his shoes and running in. Mestre is a place of contrast. Two old men in quilted blue jackets pedal slowly through the afternoon heat, just fast enough to create a breeze but slow enough to talk about politics and the direction of the country. One young mom with a curly blond headed little girl scolds her to hold still and not to touch the brand new audi that sits beside her bike. The bike has a large basket on the front filled with fruit, as it was market day in Marghera today. She lifts her little girl into the childs upright bike seat and straps her in. June 5th, 6th, and a little bit of 7th, 2005 I had a 48 hour day today, it was nuts! Left Regina at 2:30, arrived in Calgary by 3:40, W-A-I-T-E-D … Then Anne came at 6:40 and we hopped on the plane and took off at around 7:40. We got to London early by about 45 minutes, so the flight took a little over 6 and a half hours. There was very little “night,” as we chased the sun right across the earth, but it was really neat seeing Ireland and England from the sky! We then took a bus from London Heathrow to London Gatwick and w-a-i-t-ed (the flight was one and a half hours late!) … We then flew into Venice and landed at 10:22 pm. Hey guys, here it is, "the plan,".. the impossible to follow list of dates and places I might be: June 5th Fly out of Regina to London, then London to Venice. June 13th to July 2nd will be spent in and around Mestre, doing kids programs in parks and hopefully some weekend day trips to Venice... My main goals being: 1) Not to fall in the Canal and 2) Not to kick a shoe or drop my purse in the Canal. July 4th to 9th will either be travelling to a nearby country, or will begin travelling Italy.. The plan being to train it to Naples, day trip to Herculaneum, then train it to Rome Around July 14th, we will fly to Dublin, Ireland and hang out Around July 20th, we ferry it and bus it, ... read more

Im getting nervous, like stupid day dreams about being lost in the London subway system... or jogging in italy and forgetting how to get back to the place im staying... I think I should invest in GPS or one of those microchip systems they use on puppies... The really stupid part pf preparing for this trip is the ridiculous hoops I have to jump through just to get proper ventolin machine... its like they dont want me to breathe in Italy... Now they want me to prove I've had asthma all my life... what exactly do they think Im going to do with this machine?? I need it to breathe, why would I sell it?
