Pete & Kylie Just watched the ABC news & saw two rivers close to Katherine in major flood (frieght train washed off bridge and people stranded). Are you high and dry?? JF

All good here at the moment John we only had 275mm here at the house, and the rivers near us have peaked and are now falling.

Hey Peter and Kylie I just wanted to wish Peter a Happy Birthday and say wish you both a very happy Christmas! I will try to ring you guys for Christmas! Haven't had much time to read your blogs until recently - cause I am now on holidays!! It sounds like you are having some great experiences!! All the kids have finished school and Jess has finished forever. She ended up with an OP 2 which is fantastic, but she is unsure of which course to do. She has until January 5th to finalise! We arrive July 20 and will be taking a campervan up the coast to Cairns. How are you finding the prices for food and gas? What places do you recommend for camping? Thanks! nan

Hi Margaret,Bruce and Mary, sorry we have been out of range with the internet,thank Bruce for the work offer but we have kept on moving. Halliday Bay is lovely we visited it on a previous trip. We are stopping in Mareeba in september for 3 months doing a house sit on acerage for some people who contacted us through the blog, i will be looking for some work there but we should get the Gulf and Cape York done before then. Say hello to everyone.
