Honday Bay Tour Hi! i came across your blog and I'd like to ask a few questions since you've been to palawan and we are going to Palawan this November. You mentioned that upon check-in in at your hotel you went to proceed for the honday bay island hopping. I'd like to know, what time did you start the tour coz you see, our time is very limited too and we want to do the honda bay hopping and underground river tour. Yung half day, kaya ba ang honday bay islang hopping? thank you so much for your time.
Within reaching distance... Love the blog! We spent the last month around North Island avoiding the bad weather (successfully!) and the South Island pics are just what we're excitedly looking forward to when we get there on Monday. Continue standing for womens rights! Love 2U n yr family! x
Poetry Hi jo an family
- you dont know me but as I logged on to do my blog I saw yours. Great fotos and I agree - the sights make you feel creative and want to get something down ...just a hint - it doesnt need to rhyme. I burst into poetry last week flying over Western Aus. I was there at Mt Cook 3 years ago and now am coming back with 3 months in Oz first ( i'm in WA now) then 3 months in NZ.
best wishes for the rest of your trip. Lynne
http://www.travelwanderers.com I love your poem! It's so nicely written. Your post just makes me want to go and visit New Zealand. But as of now, I guess I would just content myself in looking at your beautiful pictures. Those are really great pictures and it shoes that all of you really enjoyed your time there. You have a great blog too.
RE: Glad you made it! I wouldn't miss it for anything ;> . Yeah, pity we didn't get to catch up ! ... perhaps next time. We're planning to go back again in a couple of years ! So 'til then .... Cheers ! Jo
Glad you made it! Hey Jo,
Glad to see you still made the trip - and you got some great photos from it!
I was in Christchurch/Tekapo 3 weeks before that but didn't get the best weather. Pity we didn't catch up at some stage! Looing forward to the other entries :-)
Sun, sand, salted wind. If I will have choise, where to spend rest of your life...Answer would be a white sand beach or sky hills mountains and that would eb only in India..

Fantastic Blog! Jo! Great pixs and great blog as always. You make me miss Australia. Loved that you too did the survivor twist. Fun! Andrea aka Cabochick
The real Fraser Aahhh, so these are the views I missed out on back in February?!! I guess I'll just have to head back there some time :-)
Great photos Jo!
Apparently they're also bringing in regulations against loading so much gear on the roof of vehicles - one of the reasons they tip.
Breathalyzers on Fraser I'm also surprised that there were lots of cops patrolling the island when we were there (as I didn't see any last year). A lot of fatalities that happen in the island are due to drink driving. A number of young international tourists on a 4x4 self-drive tour died last year.
Breathalyzers on Fraser?! ...oops! I once went for wizz around the forest at night and in hindsight the only thing that kept the 4X4 on the road were the deep sand ruts! Glad to see they are clamping down on such behaviour;-)

Fascinating place!!! Hello! After reading your story of your Palawan island excursions, I got really excited. Now I want to see this place so badly perhaps when I visit in June. My kids would especially enjoy all those islands and pristine beaches, and the outrigger boat ride! I laughed at the monkey part, perhaps wanting to partake of a meal. I'd share my banana too. I love all your pictures. Thanks for sharing.
i so love this piece! Poor Ryan.......clever bird. Ha ha ha. Thanks for sharing this. Now I know I have to watch out for those birds while eating my sandwich!!!
Keep writing. I like your style. And I also appreciate your sensible contributions in the forum.
RE: Length of the trek Hi Kristine, I can only give you an approximate since it's been almost 3 years since we did the trip. The boat ride to Taal Volcano might probably take about 20minutes and the horse ride about 30min one way. Hope you have a great trip. Cheers !
Ruth Yes, it is fairly safe. However, like you I'm also very cautious. If you're worried, then follow your instinct. You can simply take turns in going to the underground river while one stay behind with your baby....Have a safe and happy trip !....cheers ! :)
