Greetings TO YOU BOTH from Costa Rica! Currently printing off the blogs from each of you in order to read them at our leisure as we drive north from San Jose, Costa Rica, to visit waterfalls, volcanoes and tropical rainforest in our hired 4 wheel drive, of which we have just taken delivery!
CanĀ“t comment on your blogs as not yet read but pictures look amazing!
Hope your flight to NZ went well - we thought of you as we flew from wet but mild Madrid to CR yesterday - took forever. We only arrived at 6pm local time as darkness fell asnd a tropical rainstorm erupted. Collected from airport and driven to aptly named Bouganvillea hotel where we tried to adjust to the time difference.
Now about to launch into our adventure (which includes white water rafting and ziplining!) and look forward to reading more of yours. It has been lovely to talk with you both on the phone from Oz... All the very best in NZ!
Love, Pip & Martin

Why is my comment not here???! Klaxons - Magick. I sent this a week ago, why wont it be there. Its a conspiracy i tells ya, you just don't want me to win!
hi great to hear all your news - glad I know about the fire dancing after it is over !! look forward to a Thai meal one of these days
no comment on England - my ladylike vocabulary cant describe it tho my football fanatic dad would have said words about them all and their lack of commitment
Look forward to the next instalment
Beach bums Lovely to read of your island exploits and that the "Feed the Goat" practice you and Sam undertook with our washing machine over the years has stood you in good stead!! Playing with fire sounds somewhat risky and poor Nikki coming off the worse for it all.
All the best as you travel swiftly into, through and out of Singapore. Onwards to the next continent...!!!
Enjoy!
Oh, England!!! You still traveling? I'm really amazed by your energy that you can write so many words during trip, in my case, I'm always too tired and just want to watch any local TV shows.
So what really went wrong for England not qualified Euro 08? My god, I'm so disappointed as well, and I'll absolutely lose some interests when watching the tournament next year.
OH GOD NO!! Looks like you stumbled into a horrible place in Bangkok! My eternal sympathies with you!
Anyway, im watching the England v Austria match and Alex Manninger is in goal for Austria! He still has the bright red cheeks and headless chicken temperament! I wonder what Espen Baardson is doing now? They were short lived talents weren't they!
wot's ur flavor? or fill me in? or the new 1 wit kano but can't remember the name of that 1.
just dropin thru 2 wish u well an say i hate u! i've got sand 2 but it's mixed wit compost and is stuck down the back of my shoe!
by the way Arsenal won 3-1 if u didn't already know. Addie finaly got back on the score sheet, well taken 2.
Hello there lad. Its monday morning and i don't want to go to work so thanks, you've just made the long cold cycle to work seem infinitely less entivcing!!
Half way through reading this entry I had the absurd notion: it's cut and pasted from a travel guide! Then i realised that no self respecting travel writer/human being would admit to having enjoyed Knocked Up! Well done Nikki, I say. Though she watched a quarter of it which does seem a little unnecesary...had the PSP batteries died?
Anyway the point of that long and rather baffling sentence is about to be forthcoming, when the lure of typing rubbish releases its grip on my oh so warm mind. Here it comes....
Have you thought of being a travel writer? Its seriously good stuff!
So you are winning spot the western man with the thai bride...that sounds most politically incorrect of you, i am disappointed. Though i am more disappointed that you boast of leading the race and yet fail to give us the scores as they stand! This WILL NOT DO. I suspect underhand tactics.
Right i better go, that bike wont ride itself and even though work probably would, i feel like i should sit around reading books there rather than here.
Keep having a great time, thanks for the email and hi to Nikki. Look forward to the beautiful game blog entry, though try to remember that for every beautiful move there is bound to be a Boltol waiting on the horizon.
And since apparently brothers are meant to compete in everything they do i'm going to have to conclude with a Simsons quote too:
Marge: I'm on the internet, i'm so proud.
Lisa: [Tone of admiration in her voice which quickly fades into disdain] I'm so proud of you mum, just like Christopher Columbus you've discovered a place that millions have been before you.
And that young man is a very dull comment.
Blog response from cold UK Wow!
Lovely to read all you had to say! First impressions are really interesting. Did you remember anything from our visit 15 years ago?
Certainly I relate to the pushiness. Certainly you come face to face with poverty and disability on every street.
Fascinated to read you felt so scruffy in the shopping Mall!
Loved reading your Simpson's quote! Chip off the old block!
Well done Sharon for being as quick off the block as I was. Wonder whether the postcard will arrive before Joe returns to UK??
So, in the spirit of Glastonbury 2006, has the rain washed you away yet???
Keep on having fun and keeping us all posted - it sounds GREAT!
Love,
Pip
Good luck and have fun!!! Well I believe one of the best advantages for you English to travel all over the world is you'll find it's much much cheaper most of the time, ^^....so enjoy your trip!!!
Hello and welcome to my travel blog! As you all know for the next four months I'm leaving this island of ours, venturing around the world with Nikki to see, smell and experience something different. Therefore I have set up this travel blog so that if you're interested you can keep in touch with where I am, what I'm doing and the pictures Nikki and me have taken. Perhaps more importantly I can keep in touch with what's happening with all of you! I will also be contactable by email and facebook, so there's no excuse for n... full info
