Ludwig II Castles So interesting the two different styles. I hope you got some pictures of the big one and maybe post cads of the smaller one.
Love you. All my friends say they are enjoying the Blog. They love how descriptive you are.
Grafenberg I just looked at this blog again. Maybe my comments did not go through because I did not fill out where it says "Comment Title". Anyway, what a cute town Grafenberg is. And I forgot about the brewery. Sorry about the autobahn, but at least you can say you drove it.
Nuremburg Very informative Jess. I also did not know about all the structures that were built. Is this where Hitler wanted to build his art museum
? He had elaborate plans made about it. I hope you get this comment.
thanks! Great job Jessie! I really enjoyed reading all the stuff you mentioned, most of which I forgot! It was great to be with you and your Mom, and the rest of the family! A great experience!!
highlights of your blog i remember What a writer you are Jessie! I had to wait until today to read all 5/6 day's posts from beginning to end...and what a wonderful story you weaved! Highlights from my perspective; the amazing palaces and sultan's lives you described so well, ...the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar experience and of course the Haram, I couldn't get Jasmin & Aladdin out of my head! Your boat ride over to Asia for your dinner sounded amazing, and your throwing your mother under the bus for her Whirling Dervish mistake was a hoot! Look forward to seeing you back on American soil soon...safe travels. Kathy
Ditto If it makes you feel any better, I would've been freaking out crossing into Asia as well. Quite frankly, I'm surprised no one else thought anything of it. Crazies.
Rugs As soon as I read that you all went into a rug store--a legitimate Turkish rug store--I thought, "Aunt Karen is in heaven." Of course she got a rug! She's just beginning; an antique dresser will be shipped back as well, just you wait! Tell everyone hi for me!
Comparison: My Monday to Yours Your Monday: Traveling across the world to begin exploring one of the most culturally rich places on earth, eating tasty and exotic foods, while drinking wine with our amazing family.
My Monday: Our yoga teacher touched my tata.
Verdict: ...you win
Glad you're having fun! Hey Jesserca!
I'm enjoying reading your posts so far. I'm quite jealous of your trip, though, it sounds like you're having a great time. I'm sad you'll be missing the Halloween festivities, but I know you'll be having much more fun where you are. You'll have to show me all the pics when you get back. I want to see the Hagia Sophia because I definitely remember that from Art History too. And that raki stuff you had sounds like the arak that Andrew and his family drink...I think it's nasty lol. Then again, I'm not much of a licorice fan. Well have fun dear. Keep up the posts - I'm learning a lot! :)
Miss you!
Marj
