hola again! its been awhile, but life here seems to have increased its pace ALOT! the 3rd week, the one right after malaga and gibraltar was quite busy. it seems that i just decided to take full advantage of my vacation time here and that meant giving up some things...since i couldnt give up class or sight seeing or shopping OR hanging out with friends and going out..it seems sleeping was the first amenity to go! needless to say i got an average of 2.5 hours of sleep a night and did NOT use the siesta time wisely! eek. by the [View Full Entry]

Okay, so first off..I wrote this entire blog 2 days ago..and this computer decided to just delete it AS I was just finishing. Needless to say I was a bit frustrated cause I spent some time writing it. Oh well. Second, I put the location of this blog as Gibraltar because I am completely enthralled with that big rock! That was by far my favorite excursion so far...the views were beautiful beyond words! Also, a quick sidenote, since I found out I was going to visit Gibraltar I had these song lyrics playing endlessly in my head...¨why dont you tell me [View Full Entry]

this is the recommended amount of water to drink in a day here...its an excessive amount, but I have managed to drink this much ALMOST every day.
well well well..i am back! i am going to save you the trouble of complaining about an excessively long entry and ill break it up into 2...i wish i could write shorter entries that were written more often, but there just isnt time and access to computers long enough for this to happen..soo..here we go! i think i left off last tuesday, with the flamenco show that we went to! i will post the video and pictures on this blog from that. wednesday was fairly low key, class and then an attempt to study, which didn´t really happen wednesd [View Full Entry]

okay, so every person has a thing right? you know, that thing that will bother you no matter what. im going to come right out and say that my THING is dirty feet. i hate when my own feet are dirty..and hate even more when other peoples feet are dirty and near me. basically i just really dont like dirty feet, since they are just pretty simple to clean and look real nasty when dirty. well, i am learning to become continuously bothered by this incessant THING. cause feet here are just never really clean. im thinking the cause of this [View Full Entry]

Well hello again. Sorry about not having blogged until now, but once you hear the last 5 days or so, you will understand. First off, while writing this I am profusely sweating(and I am inside the house) . it is so unbelievably hot here that i cannot believe it. there is just no break from it..inside or outside..night or day. im totally regretting the suitcase space i used for a sweatshirt and a jacket..neither of which i will need! this blog is going to be quite long, since i have alot to say in general about the last week! but also, [View Full Entry]

Hola again, Well I have had some extra time to blog the last couple days, hence why there are so many! But starting tomorrow there will probably only be time for one every couple of days! So far, things are going really well. I am FINALLY feeling better, which is great news because if my throat hurt any longer I was not going to be a happy camper. I can finally start smelling again too-which I can´t decide is a good or bad thing. I have enjoyed most of the food so far, but I am worried that once I can [View Full Entry]

Lunes y Martes

 Europe » Spain » Andalusia » Seville
Okay, I will write quickly about my first couples days of classes. I have class from 9 until 2. I have 2 classes while I am here: Advanced Spanish and Spanish Civilization and Culture. We had a test today that we got assigned yesterday on ALL of the tenses in Spanish, for those of you who take Spanish you know that this is quite alot. We were all pretty worried about it but it ended up not being too bad. My professor for Advanced Spanish is a man named Jesus(pronounced ¨hey-sus¨). You can laugh, we all did. Then he claimed he [View Full Entry]

Well, although there are many but since my stomach is continuously rumbling and I am currently VERY hungry, I will start with food! The whole concept of eating here is so different. I have tried many new things so far, including a little calamari, garganza beans(chickpeas) and some tapas. Our senora isnt awake when we leave so we usually dont have anything for breakfast. My first class starts at 9 and goes till 1130. We have a break at 1030 for 15 minutes and we go next door to a cafe and get cafe con leche and toast. So that must [View Full Entry]

This is at Jerez..inside the wine cellars. where all of the mice were! eek! it was pretty interesting though!
I am back! and still sick..:( But good news, I am going to the doctor tonight and hopefully will get some antibiotics so I will feel better tomorrow. Yesterday we went to Jerez de la Frontera and Conil. The day started out okay, we arrived early at the meeting point-bonus points since we were late the day before! But, I sat down on the side of a planter waiting for the other girls to arrive and when I got on the bus something was biting my arm and I realized I was COVERED in red fire ants. Needless to say, I [View Full Entry]

Okay, I have a bit more time to update on how spain is so far! First off, my homestay is really great so far. I am really happy with my decision to pick that over an apartment(we went to find the girls in the apartment last night and it was really far from everything and in a sketch area). Juana is my senora and she has 4 kids that are all grown up. She also has 4 grandkids...Gonzalo is the youngest, he is 4, and is at the house all of the time. He is SO cute, but was super shy [View Full Entry]
