Finally, my first attempt at a travel blog, this comes after a fractured shoulder meant I can't write my journal, so now able to type again, here goes... It is now our third day in Varanasi recovering from a long and stressful train journey, one companion had her bag stolen with passport, visa, credit cards, MP3 player and phone! However, this was offset by the delight of spending our journey travelling with the curator of Tagore's museum in Kolkata. For those not in the know, Tagore is one of India's most famous and revered poets. Rabindranath Tagore according to Wikipedia was a "Bengali polymath.
