Hello, My name is Jami and I'm from the USA. My husband, Frankie and I are getting ready to leave for Phucket Thailand on September 26th. We've been researching areas to retire to, and feel That Thailand is the most vibrant of all the world retirement places to go. We're in our mid 50's, my husband worked for the Long Island Railroad all his life, Me, I worked as a contractor in the mechanical design field for 20 years before moving to Florida, from Pennsylvania, and meeting my husband. Frankie is originally from Long Island,New York. (Deer Park area) We've been together 6 years now and are ready for our 3rd leg of our life. We both have 2 children each from past marriages, and now are getting the grandparent experience, with 3 1/2 babies, one due in October. Of course we'll see the new one by skype😊 till we come back to visit. We're interested in snorkeling, hiking , exploring new worlds as in traveling. We hope to cover Germany, where we have friends, India, where my husband's sister lives with her husband, and Australia, where they have family. And let's not forget, boating and food. So there, you have some info on us. During our 3rd life experience I hope we stay healthy enough to do all we want to do.
I plan on keeping this blog up to date, as often as I can, and I look forward to feed back from other's who have traveled the path we intend to take! We're on no time frame, we applied for the retirement visa in Thailand, and are going to make this wonderful area of Kamala Beach, our home base! This is a little south of Phuket Island. I'm still learning the "new" north, south, west and east directions. I have a world map, and I've been studying it for some time, trying to get my bearings about me.
I hope you enjoy our travels, through our eye's, and as I said, leave some feedback, all of you, who have been there, and done this. We have 7 more days, before flying from Orlando Florida, to New York. We'll stay with my daughter and visit for 5 days. We'll see friends, and family, and our two wonderful grandchildren before flying out on the 26th of September for Bangkok! From there, my stories will start. I hope I can blog as well as the blogger's that have wrote stories on their travels. They seem to have a knack for creating a picture in your mind, as though you are there with them and this is what I hope I can achieve! So, Please bear with me, till I get the knack for blogging!😊
Starting today it will be 16 Days till touch down in Bangkok!
Ciao, Swasdee ka, till than, Jami and Frankie
