lady friend
If Canadian carmel corn bags winked and smiled at me I would sooooo buy them!!! Dig your pics my fine friend and your blog makes me feel like Iva is here with me, telling me her tales whilst sitting outside Remedy drinking our tastey coffee bevies or chai and splitting the chana masala wrap(except not today because it's -25 with the wind chill ... mmmm northern wind). Went to 'toon town for a gig a coupla Sat ago and it's the fabest of places!! The peeps (aka organizers of the mulit-media event) were great!! They fed me wicked Burmese food and home made curry, took me out on the town the night before, they housed me and gave me an old school screen for showing film. It's only 5'x5' ish, but it's silver ... ooooh back to the good ol' days of the silver screen. Will send you a proper email when I get the time and tell you aaalll about it. Later k

it's been so long since an update i've begun to get worried. of course, i don't really fear that the mighty iva would get herself into trouble... but you never know ; ) thank you so much for the lovely pictures. the springs are gorgeous. you've left me jealous of all the greenery since i'm waking up every morning to grey skies and lifeless trees. meow for now

Kyoto Life
Hey Iva! Totally lovin' the blog! Sounds like you are having quite the adventure. I too loved Kyoto but only got to see it as a tourtist. That's the disadvantage of traveling on business - little time to explore. The upside is that I don't have to worry about where I'm sleeping next. Everything you say about Kyoto is true! I love the photos...it brings back memories. Maybe if I swing through there next Feb we can get together and enjoy some shochu and saki. Nothing like hanging out with the locals! Oh, and by the way, Rita and I are expecting baby #2 around New Year's Day! Be safe, and we look forward to hearing about your next adventures! Dan

Luv ya
I was walking down 104st just north of Jasper and saw a lovely, stauesque blonde riding her bike and ... sigh, Iva. You are on my mind as of late. Thinking of the grand times you must be having. I have enjoyed the blog immensely; with its stunning photos and stories told in such a way that I can hear your voice and see your laughter. Enjoy, my friend.

cultural tidbits
Hey my friend. If you have any more cultural rules, i.e. the chopstick rule, I would love to hear them (never know when one's going to take off to Japan on a whim). I am continuing the voyage of getting to know my own country this summer by going to Ottawa, Hull and T.O. as well will be going to Vernon to visit the folks for their 35th wedding anniversary. I've never been to T.O., Ottawa or Hull and am very much looking forward to it. How did Colleen describe Hull? Oh yes, French Canadian Headbangers ... enticing, no?! The video jam was a success. The Works festival liked our stuff, and looks like we'll be doing more work in the future. I'll send you pics. Gotta fly. kelleY
