fun! What an adventure .. and you are only begun. Loved your story telling .. I think maybe you should write a book. I almost felt like I was there. Have fun and stay well!
Africa adventure You picked a good group to travel with! We have been on several trips with them in Asia and one in South America. They usually have one well organized tour leader and very knowledgeable local guides. The emphasis is on getting to meet the people and seeing life the way it really is. They also always give you lots of free time to explore on your own.
We went to Africa with an overland tour which is usually done in old army trucks and tents, but we were fortunate to have a bus body on a truck chassis, so it was much more comfortable. We explored 6 countries in East Africa.
The situation in Zimbabwe and parts of Kenya is really bad, from what we hear, but we would go there anytime again.
Enjoy the wine and tell us all about your adventures.
wonderful plan We are looking forward to your blog entries. Please note our new e-mail address.
We're so excited to hear that you will be traveling with Intrepid Travel. We have been on several of their trips, and each has been outstanding.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with your friends!
We wish you a nice journey in a beautiful country. I was there a few times-Capetown area is exciting and provinces, except some big cities like Durban. Warm regards/Dirk and Lenie

Love your blog I am taking my Airstream trailer to Newfoundland in Sept. I have all the tourist info but I googled Newfoundland travel blogs and yours popped up. I love your writing and experiences and I am only at the beginning. Doug
Have fun!!! Newfoundland is such a wonderful place!!! We loved every minute of it and the one piece of advice we have for you is to talk to the people!! they are kind, friendly and want to show you their province. They are proud of what they have and want you to love it too... which you will. Gotta tell ya.....I'm jealous!! we would love to go back one day. Let us know how you like it. "may your big jib draw"

We are Rene and Crystal Hoekstra. We are a middle aged couple who instead of having extra-martial affairs for our midlife crisis decided to ride a Kawi for a year and explore some of this wonderful world that we live in. O.K so all kidding aside, we are blessed to be able to fullfill a long time dream and take a year off work and travel.... full info
