Recommendations Thanks for visiting San Jose! Unfortunately their isn't much shopping Downtown, but you would definitely enjoy Santana Row about 2 miles away. If you come back in about a year, you'll have a lot of great shopping options on the west part of downtown (around San Pedro Square). If you like the tech museum, you may also like the children's discovery museum around the corner and the San Jose Museum of Art across the street. You also have many great restaurants and cafe's around downtown (I'm a big fan of Bijan's and Morocco's).
Enjoyed a similar experience My wife and I and another couple also landed in Palermo in 2005, and drove a rental car directly across the interior to Letojanni.
We had exchanged for a timeshare there, and arrived past their office hours but were greeted warmly and directed to our one bedroom ste.
Rather rustic and aged, but satisfactory. The staff and food were very good, and the location excellent relative to touring the small mountainside villages and Taoromina. Great vacation!
It will be fantastico! Italians love kids! Yours will be feted and spoilt whereever they go! If you are travelling on the autostrada, just stop at every "Autogrill" where the loos are clean and cheap (you usually have to leave a small tip for the cleaners), and there won't be problems with accidents. When you are out and about exploring, the bars usually have a loo you can use, but they won't be that clean, and you should keep some tissues in your bags!
Boys will love Rome, with the gladiators, fountains, etc. One of the best things about Rome is all the public drinking fountains. "Potabile" means you can drink it.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 7th!
Coming to you from Perth, Western Australia, this is inspiration unleashed! Working passionately through a twenty four year travel plan, my wife and I are heading for France and Spain in 2019.... full info
