Cuba is no longer a threat to the U.S. and hasn't been for the past 20yrs. Time to bring them onto the fold.

great memories.
Your blog brought back wonderful memories of our TWO trips on Minerva (then Explorer 2) with John Moulds and Patricia Silva in 2004 and 2005 We had calm weather on both our trips , except when we hit incredibly strong gusts of winds while being out in one of the bays at Port Wild . We have 100's of great photos of our most exciting trips to the deep south . Thanks for the memories.

Great blog!
Hi, Just saw your comment on the 50+ bloggers....and as you say, we don't have to be backpackers to enjoy it. Your trip to Antartica remind me of mine last year....best trip ever....even if I must be honest, you did a way better job on your blog, as I had only one entry back last Feb 08. Where is your next trip? Pierre-Alexandre

Where did you find those temple dancer
Some of the photographs has been titled as temple dancer? wondering who told you they were temple dancer. Temple dancer means girls who has been dedicated to entertain the temple visiting crowds. They often required to fill the bed of local government authorities , politicians and brahmans (who do the pooja) to the temple. They are called "Deva Daasi", dedicating girls to temple has been legally banned during the british rule (thanks to Mr.Rippon and Lal Lajabathy Roy). These girls could have come from local dance schools to rehearse their newly learned steps. By the way, Thanks for visiting my city Madurai and writing beautiful comments

William Tell Moment
Howard, You don't make clear whether the grapefruit was balanced on Lisa's head when you "shot your bolt". Please provide further photographic proof. Great read Simon
