Medellin - Spanish Classes in Medellin Hi Helena,
Sounds like you fell into the same trap most people do when they come to Medellin. A lot of people never leave. The one thing I'd say to your readers is to stay in Laurleres rather Poblado as it gives more of a Colombian feel. Poblado is a bit touristy and getting even more so. Also your readers should check out Envigado as it has many great local bars and the people are extremely friendly. I've been here 2 months now taking Spanish classes in Medellin in Colombia Immersion. I'd highly recommend it. Like most of your readers who decide to come here I may never leave.
Safe and Healthy Trip Aww, that was pretty awful. This can happen to anyone and this can be a big misfortune. Anyhow, it is still a good that nothing serious about his illness. I just hope that it won't happen to me especially when I travel to great and beautiful places like Boracay.
Da Nang is my favourite tourist spot It's an amazing trip! Hope that we can share our experience about travel in Vietnam for more people :D Enjoy your trip
some more 'local' blogs.... Hello Helena,
Your mother was good enough to forward me your travel-blog, which I've been reading with much interest. I'd of course been wondering where you were exactly, imagining you might have started in the north e.g. Colombia, Bolivia or Venezuela (probably well avoided!). I can see however you've bitten off as much as you can chew with your account of the many places already visited.
It's very pleasing for me to see you looking so happy and to be enjoying the challenge and diversity of it all. The photographs are especially good.
I have lots of small things to say about individual places/events, but shall leave these till later (my first time using a 'blog') Hoping you can access Wifi, here are a couple of articles that may be of interest to you both. You'll find a host of related articles connected to these topics on the Libcom.org website....

(They didn't 'light-up' but you'll find them quite easily.)
Drop me a line if you have time, be great to hear from you again after this long while.... Granny also sends her love.... I'll take your blog through for her to see...
Do hope you are both currently faring well and ready for the next stage ~ Chile? Watch out for the earthquakes.
Lots of Love.
Best Wishes ~ Dad.
Whales on the beach Whoa, I thought Copocabana beach was meant to be full of gorgeous people (slim)
but apart from the children, your picture (SAM 3320) only shows heifers :-)
Disappointed !!
