A bit like the Will Smith Movie Pursuit of Happyness (Spelt as in the movie!!), Im about to live the dream baby!!! Not the american dream but my dream!

The Plan!
A year of travelling visiting Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Loas, Singapore, Kuala Lumpar,OZ, New Zealand, Fuji, LA, Las Vegas, Vancouver and maybe home eventually!!!
Taking in the sights of these wonderful places, meeting a variety of people from all over the world, and just generally living life a little and getting away from the monontony of life.

The Reason
With the UK becoming less appealing day by day I chucked the reasonably well paid job in, sold the House, and sold the car (my pride and joy) which was the hardest thing to let go!
A big step into the unknown but something that had to be done at this stage of my life!

The People!
2 Baxters and a Gooda, also known as the Three Amigos!

The Equipment
Ruck Sack,Ipod,Digital SLR, Digital Pocket Camera.

10th August - Update Bonus all my blogs are back again thank god!x I'll leave the below message as I was so gutted when I first found out. Hi Guys well its a sad day for me today. Some of you may have noticed that when you have been checking my travelblogs in the last few days that you have been unable to. Well the reason is the travelblog server had a major problem which has resulted in the last 3 months of everyones travelblogs being corrupted and therefore lost!!! Words cant really discribe how annoyed I feel at the moment. On a plus side although they are lost, at least you have all read them and hopefully enjoyed them, so the time invested in making these blogs hasnt been a total waste. It would just ... read more

After KL, Singapore had alot to live upto. Initial thoughts after speaking to various travellers along the way were mxed. No doubt it would be clean and efficient but what about the vibe of the place. Never one to judge a place or a person before I see them, I was looking forward to seeing what it had to offer. First off finding a room was harder than usual, after trying a few from the yellow bible (South East Asia lonely planet guide) and all being fully booked we finally found another hostel that we were told to try. It wasnt the cheapest, and certainly not the best place to meet fellow travellers due to its small size and lack of any real community area. The one little area was a sweat pit and you couldnt ... read more

We arrived in KL after spending some 30+ hours of travelling, from Ko Pagnan via coach to Surrantani, then a train thru the Malaysian Boarder, then a bus into KL. Quite simply the worst journey ever. We even celebrated Mikeys Birthday during a 5 hour wait for the train in Surrantani. It really was draining by the time we got thru customs in Malaysia and hit KL we were knacked and in desperate need of a feed, aswell as a bed! When it came to finding somewhere to stay the girls ended up in one place that we decided against. We ended up about 5 mins away from them in China town, at a hostel that was a converted cinema, this was to be our home for the next 5 days. The girls ended up joining ... read more

So it was back to the party island of Ko Phagnan for the full moon party. We arrived and the girls had done well finding us some accommodation. We were greeted by the owner of the bungalows who we called mama and her children, she showed us to a lovely little bungalow with lovely sea views and palm trees all around. Although the bungalow was quite far from Hard Rin where the Full Moon was to be held as everywhere was booked out, it would mean at least we would be able to sleep when we got back and Mama would sort us out a cheap taxi. We were very much like her children as we were the only ones staying there as it was low season, and she cooked us some great food. So the ... read more

We arrived in Koh Toh, after the mayhem that was the halfmoon party in Koh Pagnan. We travelled by boat for the short trip to the island carrying a completly wasted Mikey who was feeling the after effect of the party and probably thinking he should never drink again, well maybe he might last for a day? Koh Toh was going to be a great opportunity for some R&R with a Padi Diving course thrown in somewhere in the middle. We didnt have any problems finding any accomodation as we were meeting up with Amalie and Josie our Danish friends from the Gibbons experience, they were already on Koh Toh doing there Padi course. It was great to see the crazy danish girls again, and they introduced us to Ross and Racheal an English couple who ... read more

If you ever mention that you have been to the Thai South Islands, anyone thats ever been will tell you stories of drunken nights in Ko Pha Ngan dancing to hard dance/trance music, sipping on buckets of Samson Whisky and covered in florescent uv paint partying from dusk till dawn. Yes we are talking about the moon parties!! Koh Pag Ngan is famous for them. Everyweek there is a moon party be it a black moon, half moon or full moon. We arrived here for the half moon party, (we were coming back for the full moon party later) the main difference between the other parties is the half moon is held in the middle of the jungle, and not on the beach. Our accommodation for our 3 nights here on the island was Coral Bungalows, which ... read more

Hello avid readers, its long overdue but finally another update!!!! So we find ourselves on the Island of Ko Samui on the east coast of Thailand. We arrived here from Ko Phi Phi on the westside of Thailand via a ferry over to Krabi where we stayed for a couple of nights the only exciting thing in Krabi was trying to find a road that didn't contain a seven eleven shop, they must have the highest concentration of seven eleven shops in the world in Krabi. From Krabi we took a bus to Surattani where we got the short ferry ride over to Ko Samui. Upon arrival in Ko Samui we hooked up with 10 travellers and got our own songthaew. Its amazing how you bond so quickly with fellow travellers, you have so much in ... read more

After the hell hole that was Pooket, we caught a boat over to Koh Phi Phi as fast as we could. The boat had a sun deck, which gave us a great opportunity to catch some rays and see some eye candy ;-). Coming into the port through the gorgeous turquoise blue water we were escorted by a group of dolphins, this was a beautiful sight watching them jump in and out of the water along side the boat. Docking at the port was met with the usual swarms of locals trying to get you into their bungalows and guesthouses, which was becoming more and more tiresome as our trip has gone on. We always avoid there desperate pleas and search out our own accommodation. This time was no exception although arriving at the the hottest ... read more

Upon arrival in Bangkok there was only one choice on where to stay. Of course it was back to our grand palace hotel (well to us it was) with the swimming pool on top of the roof. We were all just briefly stopping in Bangkok before going on our separate ways. For us we had already seen most of Bangkok so we had a casual time by the pool, while the rest of the group done the usual touristy grand palace and temple visits. So we were all going to go our separate ways after spending the last couple of weeks together from the jungle, thru chiang rai, chiang mai and now into Bangkok. So a massive night out to say goodbye had to be done. Heine that we met in Cambodia, met up with us and ... read more
