Brisvelle to Tba
Hi Susan and Peter Had a family day yesterday and went to see my first gr niece-Alice aged 4 wks in Toowoomba. It was freezing there and cloudy. Bris has another sunny Monday. Seem to be over the flu and just need to keep away from smokers with my asthma. Keep having fun. When do you return.? Robyn

a cheer up post election
thank you for cheering me up. I needed to see those beautiful photos and hear your tales of adventures. I have been in post election deep depression!! I well remember Moulin Rouge! And Montmartre. Fitzgerald and I were conned into having our portraits sketched by one of the ubiquitous artists of the area. Fitz ended up looking like Hitler and I looked about 16!! The trip sounds lovely. Saw Denise on Monday. Minka has settled in well. Sleeps with Jess each night, wanders out to the back yard and back in again, some 'meowing' but overall settled in well. Jess loves her. We had our writing group at Kathryn's. You were missed. Alexis had a story for the Repulican competition and my "look into my eyes' story had a review. Not sure where to send it but need to ponder on it. We've made some executive decisions in you absence. We eventually convinced Kathryn that we all bring a plate for our lunches to avoid the marathon efforts of past. And that we have an alcohol kitty and the person who hosts buys the wine, juice whatever. Hope that's OK from your point of view. I think it will be easier. The next meeting is at Alexis in October. Look forward to seeing you on your return. xx Bev

Dear Cruisin Susan and Pilot Pete
Sounds like a perfect holiday you two, in one of the most wonderful wine regions. Enjoy! Sorry to miss you both at Bev's in June - see you when you return from your marvellous adventure! - Hanne PS - I am not a native of Copenhagen, but both my sister and I would agree with you, Copenhagen is as wonderful as the song abut it - although Paris is hard to argue about, you have to admit...

Trying not to be too envious!
You are having way too much fun and far too many adventures! Hope the rum is keeping the cold at bay. You might have to brew up a mulled wine or two. It was about 35 here at the weekend. No need to reply - I'll just follow the blog and tryy not to feel too envious. Jenny

Been there, done that!
Hi guys, My memory of the South China Sea is so similar to yours, except an 8 year old can't wax as lyrical. It was 1955 after all. On our way from Manila to Hongkong we piched and yawed the whole way and meals were skipped or slipped. However, on the way back, we rolled and rolled which allowed us kids to skate from side to side in the smoking room in our socks. Must have had our sea legs by then because we were all fine. Keep it all coming, cheers, Barbara and Bill.

What a shame you didn't get to go ashore in Vietnam! The photos from the ship look fantastic though. Glad to see everything is going well - everything fine here. Look forward to reading more travel adventures. Take care. Klaire xo

Happy New Year
We are well into 2009 here of course and wish you all the best for the New Year. All well here apart from a leaky roo and a sulky BC because I won't let him go on said roof to investigate.

Well Done!!
So you got there!! Lovely to read of your adventures even with a few frustrations (eg the one pair booted PP and the barebottomed CS). Now the real stuff begins and I am looking forward to regular bulletins. All well here - the Londoners arrived on schedule - very tired (across the globe with a nearly 2 year old has its unique features) and brought a nice brand of English URTI that they have generously shared with all of us! It has been lovely although very busy. Sophia Rose is a delightful little girl with a beguiling smile that melts Gran's heart and dilutes any 'direction' that may have been given e.g. no darling don't let the puppy lick your tongue! Off to Coolum on Xmas Eve with Lee et al for a few days and then more family arrive from Darwin for NY. No time for writing other than a Court report which is due 2/1 so that will take a bit of a shine off the holiday period but still hope to read Shriver's latest novel. Have a wonderful Christmas Day wherever that may be for you. Cheers Bev
