Levanto history Even if Levanto's first historical account dates back to the 12th century, its origins are probably pre-roman which is proved by various manufactured articles from the Iron Age found in this zone. The village is an antique feud of the Malaspina and the Da Passano; in 1229 it is passed over to the Republic of Genoa.
