arden house is the best I just stayed there this last week for two days. I met morgan while biking up state street on a trip from Los Angeles. There generosity and all around beauty was inspiring, i love thoes folks!
Awesome Matt..Once again, I can't imagine why you don't consider looking deep into yourself and pulling your thoughts for publications. These stories are not only a collection of places that many may never visit or places where people only hurriedly drive by, but your thoughts take us on a journey with a keen and curious eye allowing us to see wonderment abound and witness the Master's hand in all. Your words slap us into seeing our obscene methods of revamping all creation to work best for us instead of shedding our useless worries, greed and self-involvement and walk in step with life..not against it. Your readings offer hope!
Wow! That was very emotional for me, I love the fact that you have not lost "home". As young minds wonder and grow we often forget what you have most definitely learned. Travel and adventure is great and enriching; however, home is always the place we circle back to and feel a bit safer. Thanks.
p.s. pictures are not necessary when you write as well as you do.
How strong you are I would have called mom and said "come get me" You inspire people by your journey. Good luck and if you ever need anything you know my number.
Grateful Matt..Each step of this journey has taught me over and over the meaning of "grateful". Now, I'm grateful that you've found the innerpeace to move on, and to put this "loss" behind you. I know you have what you need to grab your dream and make the goal happen. Continue to look for the signs and treasures in the forms of all the angels in your path who shower you with knowledge, comfort,, courage, strength, good fortune and mostly peace. May God and all His angels continue to hold you close. Thanks for writing.....Love most of all....
finding EYE in the crust matt brother,

Ruth, it's good to hear from you! Thanks for the encouraging words. I've been keeping up with Jessica's travels as well, and am usually blown away by each new blog entry. Be well, and tell Dustin and Nick hello for me too.
Wow I am blown away by your travels! I have just finished reading all of your blogs I so enjoyed every moment. Keep on living and growing through your travels.
Big Sur Big Sur writing was awe inspiring. I felt I was there with you, as I had similar experiences 33 yrs ago as we rushed by in a station wagon and I wanted to stop and stay! I don't envy the climbs of mts but do envy the sails down. I know both are necessary BUT...
Thanks for sharing all. I am sending love and energy to you.Leslie
Whew!! Matt..Didn't think about the trip getting bumpy by TECHNO!! Thankfully, with everyone's help you are back in the groove. As suggested I am saving each blog to a file not just printing. Keep us posted as you soon get to leave your keyboarding behind you! Love, mom
keep dreaming big! Jessica, thanks for dropping me a line. I too have been sitting on the other side of the world wondering about you and reading all about your blessed travels and all the shining people you've met on your way. And I have also let my blog readers know about yours (Mom was blown away by your courage and inspiration). I must confess that a couple of your writings have jerked a joyful tear from my eye. Keep dreaming big and bringing your radiant visions into being for all to see. Much love from the far west.
so happy for you! i sitting in india reading all about your travels. it's so wonderful to hear about the beautiful people and places you've met/been. i'm going to let my blog readers know about yours! i can't wait to share experiences! much love to you from the far east.

WOW!!!! Matt,
What a wonderful opportunity you are taking advantage of....seeing our country, meeting new friends, and taking time to consider life in all its glories and frailties.
Your writings take me away to places not experienced, pesonally---yet make me feel as comfortable as if I had felt the sun on my own face and participated in the warm conversations with the good people you have encountered.
Please keep us apprised of your trek, and of anything you feel impassioned to share. It is a wonderful gift that you are sharing...Thank You......
Love, Dee Dee
There's another angel that's been placed in your path. I'm so glad you have the faith to see the kindness in so many who are making this journey with you.
These few paragraphs are filled with all that is you!! How interesting you know yourself so well, and I am just beginning to understand. You are the teacher in so many ways.....
matt, i think u hit it right on by saying..."synchony is the rule, not the exception..." indeed simultaneous currents abound personally, interpersonally, And transpersonally! one's awareness or openness to this ism might be a matter of being opened (forcefully) via an experience that is too powerful to ignore. ur journey, full of physical movement might invite this awareness to enter more easily as u are (literally) seeing more motion and thus the simultaneousness of it all. i appreiate ur email as on that date, my own coinciding experiece of simultaneousness took place in a way in which i was most aware. not at all surprised, and yet am so glad to hear ur journey is so blessed. be so well!
with gratitude, daniel
What Happened? So, where are you, Matt? What are you doing, Matt? How is it going, Matt? Have you passed Venus or Mars? Avoid big Black Holes at all costs. Keep safe. Homesick Alien #2
Ahoy! Matthew, it sounds as if you are enjoying your adventure! All of us back here in old Kentucky are loving that we are able to pedal along with you, thanks to Al Gore's internet! We are doing quite well. Zach and Elizabeth have an apartment in my complex. Tyler is working at Sam's. Seth is enjoying his Summer and earning $$$ honing his Domestic Engineer skills. Today we visited your old stomping ground, Borders. Everyone agreed that the place has gone completely downhill since you left....:^) Happy Belated Birthday, it sounds as if you had a memorable one! Take care and be safe! Love, Aunt Holly
Better travel variety My goodness, how I adore the pace you keep! You have no idea the different feeling of getting to explore down side roads and talk to people, versus maneuvering a 17' U-Haul (because of a mix up-- I NEVER needed a truck that big, or even intended to get more than a trailer) towing a car behind it, stopping only for gas, bathroom, and the occasional iced tea. My trip to NY was nothing special, but Ithaca is a hopping little city. In my explorations of my new home, I have found that walking is too slow and hot, driving is too stressful and wasteful, and biking and bussing are just right. You knew this far before I did! I hope there are many more exciting discoveries to come (for all).

keep your legs a moving matt. grind it all the way up. sweat for it. be sure to catch a bubble breath and stretch your jimblies. you got thoughts coming to you, your own and others and i'm wishing you safety and good vision. i see you riding and looking and thinking, all quiet up along that coast and far down stretches of the road, you and your bike and the road, until only the road remains. send word when you can. love.
Birthdays Away from Home Hey Guy! What a wonderful present you have given yourself on your birthday: a cross-country journey in quest of nature and nature's bounty! Your volunteer work out there is so typical of your eagerness to give to others. Can't wait to hear your oral presentation when you return and blow out the candles for real. Namiste
Enjoying the Journals Sounds like your having a hell of a time there out west. I am enjoying your Journal entries and have even had a few good laughs frome them. Take care and stay safe.
