Hello Dan and Kelsey: Thanks so much for the photos. I wanted to tell you that I stayed in the Lisboa Hotel for a week during the Marlboro Formula 1 Races. I stayed in Hong Kong for a month. Love that place! Great to hear from you.

The property is basic, clean, and in a great (quiet) location on the less commerical fisherman's beach and is about a 10 minute walk along the ocean to the cliffs where the tourist strip and the "main" beach of Varkala. wish i was there again
Your blog brought back so many memories. It is so desolute but so beautiful. You wonder why they called it the land of milk and honey. I loved Peta, wished I could of spend days there. We spent 2 nights in Amman one we didn't expect to stay. I have a great story of 3 olderish women(us) trying to get our bathing suits on while floating in the dead sea feet up. It is a spectacular place to see. I am glad you shared it. Hallie
