Hello! We arrived today in Apache Junction. It is warm and bright and sunny! We are in a park, right next to Jeanie and Larry Olsen. Finally hooked up to power and able to check email, do laundry, and lounge by a pool! We had a great time in the state park near Parker; We hiked and rock hounded, and played mexican train at night; We left there for Quartzside. We camped in the desert for 5 days. We took long drives out in the desert and found many jewels to take back home. We are learning the ends and out of desert camping, how to use our generator and invertor. Beautiful sites, some unbelievable. Rick and Marcy headed home. We stayed another day and did a hike with Burger and Mike yesterday out to Palm ... read more

Hello! Since I have last posted, we have stayed in Needles, Lake Havasu , and now Parker. We have met up with some friends, Burger and Mike Swanson and Rick and Marcy Jansen. We really liked the Maobi Regional Park in Needles. Unfortunately we were only able to stay three nights. The park is set up on peninsulas on the Colorado River. Four sites to each peninsula. Very nice and close to many things to do. We tried to reserve it for next February for a month. The price is really reasonable. But it is already full. I will have to watch the internet site when we get home. We then moved to Lake Havasu. Lots of happenings through the weekend so only found dry camping in Prospector Park. 15 a night; not bad and was ... read more

On the road for a week; my gosh.... Hello from Bakersfield, CA; Since my last post, we have stayed in Red Bluff and Turlock, CA. Both nights were spent at the Moose club; $10 a night charge to park and use their power and water. People have been very nice. In fact , in Red Bluff, a man named Ron went back to his house, printed us out some maps, and brought them to us the next morning. I hope we are as friendly at our lodge when out of towners come in!! Coming over the Siskyous was fine; no snow; in mountain passes until well after Shasta; Ate up the fuel; Curt is a good 4 -5 hour driver; we usually leave around 10 and park around 3. California roads are all what you have ... read more

We finally were on the road Monday around 10 am; we had breakfast with Ione and Duane that morning. Our drive to Vancouver was rather uneventful, no traffic backups all the way down. Really unbelievable for a Monday morning. We found our RV park right away and started putting away our mess. We had stuffed and stuffed for 1 1/2 days so we could leave, and neither one of us had a clear idea where things were! We had an enjoyable visit with my aunt and cousin. It was rather foggy Wednesday am so we waited awhile to get going; Forgot how beautiful Oregon is, and we both agreed that the roads are far superior to Washington's roads. If you have never ridden in a motorhome, you probably don't appreciate that! Beautiful sunny day! Found Seven ... read more
