I have to say that so far this is the best burger I have had at a restaurant in New York. I can assure you I have had better made at home for me. But this one is the greatest if you are out and about.... read more

We went skating and part two of the burger tour. This was one of my favorite meetings. It was the group of four of us from the other night along with the VA Pieter Jan V. But also joining us tonight was one Valerie from Singapore. She found VT this morning. Emailed me for things to do or a meeting and decided to come with us. All on her first day.... read more

Well my trip started with some weird days leading up to it. But they’ve been edited to protect the involved. Taking the train home Saturday I called Eric, my ride to the airport. He picked me up and we were off to my house so I could pack. Yup. You heard it right. I didn’t pack until Saturday morning. Oh well. What are you going to do? I was busy and happily Friday night was spent in a real bed instead of my futon. I truly hope this is the start of something new. Anyway. Back to the story. After packing from approximately 1240pm I was ready to go in an hour. Bags packed. Umbrella and rain coat retrieved from inside. We were off to the start of my trip to India for the marriage of ... read more

Happy birthday Rachael and Gwilym. I came to London for the weekend to meet a friend and celebrate her friend’s birthday. It was only after I arrived that I learned it was also her boyfriend’s birthday also. Happy birthday to you both. Yes its true. I flew out of New York on Friday evening heading to London for just two nights. My work schedule does not permit me to often take long trips so I have become very good at fitting weekend trips together. Although Europe requires one day off where the west coast does not I am usually able to make the time up during the week that this works well for me. I arrived on Saturday morning to very light rain. The kind to just be annoying. As I could not check into the ... read more

My first trip to Australia was quite the unexpected adventure. I had just met a friend who also typically traveled on United. Well a week later e-fares come out and has NYC-SYD for $700.74. I couldn’t believe it. I had never seen this fare for anything under $1000. So even though I had a trip planned for this time period to Southern California for the Yankees road trip I decided this was too good of an offer to let it go. And with that another week or so and I was off. I was so happy and excited to finally be going to Australia that I left the office early and got to the airport in time to jump aboard the flight before hand. This gave me a three plus hour layover in LAX and the ... read more

Well it seems most of my travelling is done when it is very cold. This was also the case on my first trip to Vienna. Like all my trips there is usually a reason why I end up going to one place or the other. This trip was no different. It started because we needed a place to go and see while Mike was in Germany. No sooner had he arrived than we were out of work. This left us free to go and do whatever we wanted for the two weeks he was there. Dave from the Old Dublin used to work in a place called Molly Darcy's in Vienna. As such he had been telling us all to go and check it out since he arrived in Germany around when we did. Did any ... read more

November 14th 2000
Well this all started out on a Friday evening in western Germany. We had just finished work around 5pm and were heading home to get our bags. It wasn’t long until we were off to the Old Dublin for some dinner and drinks. Figured it was the best way to stay up until the 1230am departure from Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof to Santa Maria Novella here in Florence. The train station was surprising cold. It had been a mild fall and we had not seen any indication that snow would fall soon. After leaving the pub around 1130pm we arrived at the Bahnhof with about 30 minutes to spare. When we finally figured out which end of the platform our car would be at it was time to board. We were luck enough to have the coachette to ... read more
