| 3rd August 2009 liliram | Just had to say something! - From: Nightmares in Nanjing Your blog caught my attention. I have a similar blog....entitled "Misadventure in Nanjing" about my trip there in 2007. Like you, I was terribly in need of sleep (but my tummy's fine) and I fell , hit the pavement so hard it broke my eyeglasses, brought to a hospital to incise and pull out a small screw and a shard from my eyeglasses that got stuck near my right eyebrow. What a scare! I'm happy to say the chinese docs and nurses were very, very nice. I also only paid for the anesthesia, meds........the ultrasound, the incision (which they say is "operation") , use of emergency room and operating room, etc all went free. Anyways, nice blog. Keep them coming! |

I have to warn you Oz is very boring and beige by comparison! Take care. Love from us down under. |

| 9th July 2009 Molly | Incredible...Just incredible - From: Great Wall Part 2 (Photos) I first have to say THANK YOU to you both for including me into this "world" you have created for your friends! I feel so lucky to be able to live vicariously through your travels! I am absolutely awed and amazed at what the two of you have done already!! I get cranky having to go 30 minutes away from home...and you both are clearly in such wonderful spirits. It is such a joy to watch and read about your MANY adventures! I had to comment on The Wall photos. Talk about a magical experience. To think of all the sacrifices made to create this majestic "attraction" (using that word incredibly loosely because I don't feel it does the wall justice) Again, I can't tell you how thankful I am to watch as you two clearly lovingly travel the globe. I sit here in my office and get to not only get a glimpse into these distant places, lands, cultures- but for brief fleeting moment, feel like I am there with you =) Be safe and I am waiting patiently for the next installment Love your wee lil' American friend, Molly =) |

| 24th June 2009 Joanna | Tired Madre - From: Train Part II Dear Sarah and Chris Love reading your blog and the photographs of the places you have visited. Poor Bernie was exhausted to-day after the trip to Lisburn so she would not be much good on the train for days and days - neither would I. Take care of yourselves and keep up the commentary. |

| 19th June 2009 Lucy o rawe | Friday night in belfast! - From: Train Part II Wow! What a mish mash of adventures so far! Really enjoyed reading them. Lake Baikal looked stunning and I almost felt as if I was listening to opera myself in Moscow. Even the noodles looked appetising!I loved reading about your adventures on the Transsiberian Express, even if there were no murder mysteries in sight! All well here and I know you'll be so homesick when I tell you you're missing Big Brother eviction night! Erin is away to celebrate Hannah's 18th at the union (her first visit there) but she has no id so I don't know if she'll get in or not. We're all so glad it's Friday night and we have a few days to relax. Spoke to your mum earlier tonight and Eve was away to her first official sleepover with someone up the street. She wasn't sure if it would be over in a few hours once bedtime hit! Nothing else of interest to report from here. Tim and Jess got engaged in case you didn't know with another wedding next June some time. Tony and Josephine are having a break in the Algarve. Anyhow, when I finish next week, I'll be in touch again. For now, guys, have fun and enjoy your adventures. Take care. Love from all the O'rawe clan. xxxxxxxxxxx |
| 16th June 2009 O' Rawe clan (again) | Belfast Weather in Riga? - From: Relaxing in Riga St. Peter's church spire looks extremely extremely high up. How on earth did Chris manage to convince Sarah to even go up in the first place? Haha. Mad woman. Also, we're all quite keen to see these beautiful brightly coloured Dunnes Store macs! Photos??Unfortunately here in Belfast we're not quite needing them at the moment, due to the lovely warm weather. Haha. Well, lovely and warm for Belfast weather anyway. And we hope the movie you went to see wasn't purely in Rigish (haha - from earlier comment. Now I know it's Latvian they speak there - A levels here I come!) Lots of love, the O' Rawe clan. xxx |
| 16th June 2009 O'Rawe clan again! | I think we read the posts in the wrong order. - From: The Legend of Zelta: The adventure begins 1) We're loving the backpacks. Reminds me (Erin) a little of the President's Award. Except you two look a lot more glamorous. Haha. 2) Dad looks as if he's longing for one of those Zeltas (especially at the price - haha.) 3) You're able to sing Michael Jackson's 'Bad' in Rigish(? - I don't think that's even a language)? Something we must hear/be taught once you get back! Lots of love (again), the O'Rawe clan. xxx |
| 16th June 2009 O'Rawe Clan | Wow. - From: A Bumpy Arrival in Moscow We're all gathered round our tiny computer screen reading your travel log and are desperately envious! School and work tomorrow (minus school for me - Erin! Haha) - want to swap? Moscow seems a really beautiful place! Bet it's a nice change from lovely old Belfast anyway. (: Look forward to hearing more of your travel adventures. Lots of love, the O'Rawe clan. (Oh lord.) xxx |

| 12th June 2009 Katherine Gregg | To Russia with Love - From: A Bumpy Arrival in Moscow Can't believe that in your photos you are actually standing in places that I have only seen on TV or James Bond movies. Still hasn't hit me that you are actually not going to be around for ages let alone loitering about Russia about to embark to China. Sounds like you are experienceing the rough with the smooth but its all apart of the adventure- and I am madly jealous. Take care you two. Raging that I have missed your phonecalls. Miss you both. K xo |
