im learning about the Maasai and i think they are so interesing the way they live an id love to visit Kenya and im only 13 so i probably wont be going yet your journal is great !! :)
Thought I was the only one who thought they were pants! Appalling customer service and racist behaviour from AA staff on way to JFK. Would never fly with them again; they acted as though you should feel privileged to fly with them. Much more enjoyable experience was Lao Aviation (though the cockpit door swung open during take-off and landing; there was no air con so it was boiling and; when we touched down there were cows ambling along the runway. An added personal touch was the pilot getting his own luggage out of the hold and chatting to us about local sights as he escorted us from the plane to the terminal (I use "terminal" in its loosest sense))
America Airlines Agree with you about AA - crap airline with surly staff and dubious safety checks. On our final approach into Miami from Peru in August we hit severe turbulence. Two people in the row bbehind us hit the roof because their seat belt mounting pins snapped! We felt safer in the 4 seater flying over Nazca!
Hi Kids, glad you are still enjoying yourselves Hope you're both well. You'll be pleased to hear that the weather really is pants here and that you are missing nothing! Did you try Guinea Pig?
Thanks Luke...thanks so much for recording all the details of our hilarious Patabamba trip, hadnt remembered half of the names etc. Made me laugh reading about the ritual and even though the girls did get the best room (ie. no potatoes) we still had to kip on sheepskins with the hooves still attached!
Will follow with interest the rest of your adventures and look forward to meeting up with you both on your return. Hope youre enjoying the hot showers in Cusco!
