Seattle From Missoula we headed straight for Seattle. It was a much more interesting drive than we expected. I guess we expected all of Washington State to be full of trees and lush greenery, but we were driving through a desert! With some iphone research we found out that past the Cascade Mountains, much of Washington State is desert because the mountains act like a barrier to the rain. It’s crazy because when you cross the mountains all of a sudden there is that lush green that you were expecting, and there are lakes, and everything. You could easily live an hour outside of Seattle and be in total wilderness, but really close to Seattle. Seattle is a beautiful city, very picturesque. So, of course, I took many pictures.
