Good to see that you are ejoying your visit and have a dream come true. Now you know, how I felt when I sat in the stand at the Monaco GP....

This all sounds so lovely! Wish I were there:( And you seem to have done and seen so much already. Well, at least you saw the most important...la tour Eiffel. Did you get to see the famous inkwell underneath???:) And what about the mille feuilles...flaky, creamy, messy, but i am sure you also meant to say yummy!!! Keep moving right along, sweet child of mine...

Fabulous Blog!
I'm SO happy that you're having your 'trip of a lifetime' adventure, Caroline...what a girl you are!! Well done. You should try the Jet Lag pills you can get in the bookstores at the airport...they work!! I'm just home from Australia and have had little or no jetlag with them....NEXT trip for you! :-) Your writing is very enjoyable....can't wait for your next installment. Cheers!! Wendi

That is nice for the first day.
I'm surprise that after long and sleepless flight you still could go to lots of places. It's always pleasure when reading your blog, it's just like we are there and enjoy the trip with you. Just want to give you a good news so that you can sparkle your day a bit more. We got the credit for EUR 500.00 today, and as Joseph said " Hallelujah", we finally can close the case. I bet I can hear your laugh now.... Enjoy your trip!!! Cam

La vrai Paris
So you are in the Marais, I never would have expected. You must try one of the Jewish deli/cafes in the area, they are great. One of the oldest Jewish neighbourhoods in France.

greats shots
"the ugly hotel room" does not look that ugly. It looks like it has somewhat traditional Vietnam design in there. The Buddas and Pagodas are very interesting and cannot believe I can see Chinese words at a lot of places.....

Fascinating
that's all I can say.....

Then end of the journey...
At the risk of sounding terribly corny {again:}...don't be sad it's over, only be glad it happened. Sounds like another wonderful and enriching travel experience. So what's next on your agenda? Oh yes...a weekend in exotic Toronto:) Is life good, or what?:) Until then, wishing you Godspeed~

Proud of you
Hehehe... I'm so proud of you for crossing the street by yourself, It's not so bad after all, isn't it. You seemed to visit lots of places for just 3 days. It's fun to follow your journey. Oh, don't be sad for not be able to bring a hat with you for souvenie. Last week, I saw them in one store at Rideau market. One more good news, you still can find mangosteen in Canada in Vietnamese groceries store, but of course, it's rare and not taste as good as it should be due to long travelling before coming to Ottawa. Cam.

Everything Bun!!
Salut!

Songs
Ref: "And I don't know why but I find it very amusing when I hear tacky songs being played in a foreign country" ........ Is it better than the Elvis / Beattles songs in "Mandarin" ?
19th April 2009

Glad you made it across the street:) And nice to read you are in a hotel with standards:) And yes, "Don't make my brown eyes blue" is perfect background music while having vermicelli in Vietnam:) Keep having fun. And know that all is well here in beautiful Ottawa...except poor Oscar hurt his back:(

Wow! You really met Madame Penh??? She sounds a little "tacky" I daresay. Oh well, as long as she is not as obnoxious as her son:) Today, an update from exotic Canada...Charlotte is doing fine and does not seem to feel too lonely...beautiful spring weather with sunshine and all...and what else???...hhmm, nothing really. Take care and...say hello to Jin:) FAF~

From worms having sex ... to bouncy roads .... to those darn malaria symptoms - LOL! ... and a water balloon shower!

lots fun
Wow, that are a lot of readings for me, just like a travel book. they are great. BTW, I've told Ping about your business card. Congrats!! Enjoy~!

Sure hope you start feeling better soon. Yes, the massage may have something to do in eliminating toxins. If so, it's all good:) Remember to drink lots of water! And no, you did not have a very uplifting way to start the day. But I am glad you experienced it. Sad reality...sick world:( On another note, I am also glad you experienced a Happy Khmer New Year in the traditional way:) It kinda makes up for the damn balloon that you missed:( Take care...and my regards to Sean Penh {sorry, I could not resist:} FAF~

First, the coconut shell shower mystery had me SO curious that I did a quick Google on it. And I found this from a person who was in Cambodia..."and even a coconut shell cup in a clay pot of water at the entrance to wash your feet" Goodness! you must ask about this coconut shell before you leave! Second, after reading today's blog, "chicken porridge" sounds better:) And coffee with condensed milk...hhmm...so easy to make but at the same time impossible to duplicate at home:( Sounds like another wonderful day:) So looking forward to see the pics! And yes, we certainly want a traditional head scarf. Not too sure your father will wear it at the race track or mowing the lawn though:) Oh! and...Happy New Year:) FAF~

Quelle belle chaleur ...
Ah quel bonheur de te savoir bien installée au bord de ta piscine ou encore à bord d`un tuk tuk - les visites des sites ont l`air tout aussi impressionantes les unes que les autres ... Profite en bien! Au plaisir de te lire encore ... nik xo
