DAY 7--Off the beaten path As we headed inland with Maya Nature, the weather was inclement. We were nevertheless chasing blue skies as we headed to the southwest. Our lunch venue was Bacalar, set on a beautiful lagoon. Now the overcast conditions were our enemy, making a dip a bit cool, too cool for somebody, right Brys? In addition, the seven shades of blue of the lagoon were well masked in the cloudy skies. The lunch was very nice, juicing up the travel batteries. Just because I would get my directions wrong occasionally--okay, maybe a few times--was that any reason for Brys to reconfigure GPS when thinking of me to 'Geriatric Problem Synthesizer', was it?
