Hi again. It's raining hard here in Maine. This is supposed to be a dry season but, it's been a wet fall, summer too. My bank has computer issues, hope that doesn't happen this winter when I'm 8000 miles away in a remote village of the Philippines. They have had some bad weather too. Typhoons hitting Luzon. They cancelled the street dancing in Iligan this year. Ronnah went to see them with her Mama but it was not to be. Here is are some pictures from a couple years ago. It's really fun.... read more

I'm in Bridgton ME. My house, in fact. People always have to talk or write about the local foods they eat while traveling. OK. I will, too. Balut is the partially developed duck embryo. I think a duck hatches at 28 days. These are boiled at 17, 18, or 21 days. I'm told with the 21 day old eggs one can actually feel the developing bones. Mmmm, crunchy! Visited Countries Map You may have seen this on Fear Factor a few years ago... I have been to the Philippines 6 times and I have come to really enjoy balut. It's like a boiled egg with a few feathers and the beak, too. The feet too, of course in a ducky broth. Oh, good I'm a real blogger now.... read more

Casco? It's close to me, too. I'm here in Bridgton, ME I suffer from SODLDS. This is pronounced (sod' lude) I know it doesn't make sense. A lot of travelers have this illness. I have no sense of direction, yet, I love to travel. Odd, isn't it? Or as my lovely wife LynLyn would say, "Isn't it weird?" She doesn't like crowds, yet she loves parties! She is in Iligan City, Philippines. She has lived there in the same baranguay of Santa Filomena since birth. She was born by the creek in a hut made of sticks. She is a tough one. I love her so much. I call her My Tiny Terror or My Tiny Typhoon, just to tease her. She is such a lovely young lady. We will be married 5 years on 4/1/10. ... read more

OK, I'm not in Portland. That is a lie. My other entries are listed as from Bethel, ME. Again, it's a lie. I'm not quite sure how to make new location.... North America United States Maine Bridgton There is no E in Bridgton. Weird. That's the reason I uploaded the picture of Bridgton village. Just so you know, reader. The most famous thing about Bridgton is Stephen King. He doesn't live here though. He lives in Lovell ME. But there is nothing in Lovell. So you may see him around town at the bookstore or Food City, that's the local semi-supermarket. My Uncle Sam was stolen off of my mailbox! Can you believe it? Bridgton, ME I also have to fix my picture...it's sideways... Thanks for reading me.... read more

Nah, it's not a difficult trip. I just said that to get your attention because I'm going to Las Vegas NV for a week. Really cheap. I have a lot of trips planned. Going into 2010 when I'll be taking the train to West Palm Beach Florida for the winter season. I Well, it's a free flight earned with JetBlue, really. I had to pay just about $10 tax. I will be staying at a hotels.com selection. Just $15+ tax per night. Great but the rate jumps to $40 for the weekend, so I'll stay in a hostel for the last three nights. A big step down but it's just $21 for weekend rate. So I come in under budget at about $110 for the week. This includes free breakfast. It's recommended to get a buffet ... read more

Hi- my first entry sucks. Let's try it again coz I have no subscribers and it's a little lonely here in Cyberville. I put a picture at least now. I'm looking forward to Las Vegas. Because my flight is a reward from Jet Blue I only had to pay the $10 tax. I recently booked a room at a Hotel/Casino for $15 a night for midweek. Hidden $17 fee tho. I don't know why they do that but I'll certainly be reporting on my experience. I have so many Asia Miles now 90000+ and I'm going again on November 30, so that will be another 18000. Gotta book a flight by July 2010 or they will start to expire. Hmmm? Anyway, I digress. Now that I have some cheap digs in Vegas, I'm going to try ... read more
