Taupo and Other Journeys Hi Keith and Val
Enjoyed following your tour and the photos of the amazing places that you have visited. Envious? Yes we are! Where to next? There is a rumour that the sun was spotted in North Cowton last week - the locals were not sure because they haven't seen it for so long.

Oamaru & Janet Frame The last time I was in Oamaru was as part of a NZ literary tour since Oamaru was where the famous NZ writer Janet Frame spent much of her childhood. Have you read any of her books?
Airbnb So glad you've tried Airbnb - I rave about it and like to use it as first choice whenever we can. In fact on Friday we fly to Hobart and are staying at an Airbnb place at Sandy Bay which looks great - looking forward to that.
You'll maybe be interested to know that I once went horseriding on the slopes around Queenstown. As you can imagine that was many years ago but I don't think I've got the 'dare-devil' for it now. Some things are best left to youth unless you are doing it all the time!! M xx
Fox Glacier in all weathers! It was pouring down with rain the last time we walked on Fox Glacier; not that the rain stopped us but it certainly helped to understand how the glacier changes and the water finds a new way to escape! So glad you got a brilliant day weatherwise. M xx
Superlative Scenery! I remember the last time that Kev & I did the drive you've just done. We almost get to the point of getting sick of hearing ourselves raving on about the gorgeous, incredible, beautiful, picturesque, breathtaking scenery. It really is that magical...so glad that you enjoyed it and shared your fantastic photos! M xx
The beauty of Dunedin Great photos once again - I adore the architecture of Dunedin especially that magnificent Railyway Station. Good to see you're both enjoying the finer things in life such as natural beauty and wildlife!! M xx
Peaceful beauty! It is years since we visited the Coromandel - your beautiful photos have certainly given me the desire to return. So glad to see you enjoying the beauty of the 'Land of the Long White Cloud'.
Thank you! Dear Michelle, just to say thanks for all your comments. I am pleased you like the photos and you give me the encouragement to continue with the blogs!
What an honour!! ...to be related to the new Governor through his beautiful wife!! M xx

listening skills! Dear Michelle I apologise for getting your title wrong. I am not a good listener as Val knows only too well! Hope all is well in Sydney.
Wonderful Cuba! You are the third person I know who raves about the magic of Cuba. One of my friends here in Sydney has been a couple of times and just loves it. Obviously you can't buy happiness as the people of Cuba seem to prove! Thanks for your observations of what is doubtless a fascinating country! M xx
Fascinating! Such a world away from our own. Val watching over the slaves resonates with me at the moment as I'm reading Anna Karenina. Well serfs and slaves are much the same I think. What a great experience for you both. M xx
