Our friends from Australia, Alex and Polly, are on a 2-week holiday in their native country (Hong Kong) and we came to meet with them. It was ... read more

Although it was a short and official trip, I was still excited because finally I can see Hong Kong outside of the airport! I had been to Hong Kong twice before but every time it was just to pass through for my onward journeys to other destinations. We went to Hong Kong by ferry from the Shunde port. The trip took 2 hours and I was surprised to find some familiar inscriptions on the glass window (see photo). There were no interesting sights during the majority of the ferry boat ride until you reach Hong Kong territory and you see the harbors of both Kowloon and Hong Kong island. It was really just like in the movies! First ... read more
