saying hi got the link from your Mom (spoke to her briefly yesterday; sounds really good)
excited to hear you were going to India, and enjoyed your last tale. what an amazing place, no?
couple of notes: you mentioned the swarm of kids - you will encounter many of these, and keep your wits up. often, a couple of them will distract you while others are looking to steal belongings. you'll find hauling out your camera will attract a lot of kids and beggars - sort of a symbol that you have money. unfortunately you will be seeing people with some pretty rough physical problems - they too will look for people with cameras.
got a laugh when you mentioned lineups - no such thing a lot of the time in India - like in the train station - just push your way to the front!
and be careful about drinking - they think about it differently than we do. and it's not the actual drinking, it's the behaviour - don't flaunt it too much; try and keep low key.
take care; be safe; enjoy. as your Mom may have told you, I'm jealous as heck.

Love the Blog!
Hello Brianne, Just to let you know that I find your very informative blog to be fascinating! Keep up the good work, it really is an interesting read. You have already experienced so much in a very short time. I pray to Hare Krishna that your aim --- and more importantly - that your fellow train passengers aim is true :) Love, CĂ©line
