Im so sold! My husband and I (also from Brighton!) have been toying with heading to south or north of Goa -having already booked our hut on the Agonda beach....im so sold after reading your blog...I cant wait!
Monkey Mia I was just googling, very bored, and came to your site about monkey mia. i used to live in Denham, the main town of shark bay (where monkey mia is), so i thought i would give you my two cents worth. I personally know the owner of the Shotover, Harvey Raven, his family are good friends of mine, i grew up with his sons. Shark Bay is deffinately a geat place to grow up, and deffinately an awesome place to visit, thers so much to do and i personally know that all the locals are very happy to welcome tourists, become drinking buddies and show you around the joint. I love that place and everything there is in there, Denahm, Monket Mia, Little Lagoon, Ocean Park, Peron, the list goes on, and DEFFINATELY the Shotover, one of the best ways to spend your day, esp with the best (funny and so easy to hang round with) staff who half of them i personally know.
Caity xoxo
Homeward bound... You're last couple of days and just wanted to put my final comment on your blog!! Safe travels guys and cant wait to see you both- what a trip! Lots of love, Laura xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Brings back memories Hi, it was nice reading your blog on Agonda. I count myself lucky to have visited the place 9 years back, and it was pristine! There was no development on the beach, and just one shack on the side of the road opposite the beach, where we managed to find some beer. I had been there again 4 years ago, and saw at least one permanent structure on the beach. I haven't been there again since, and I shudder to think what awaits me when I finally venture there again.
Brownies... How brown are you two?!? and Claire- how long has your hair got!! Enjoyed reading that- will miss you're fab updates as you're nearing the end of the trip- perhaps you could continue writing anyway? Dont think Sussex wont offer as many exciting adventures though, but you never know....Lots of love to you both xx
A Canadian says "Wow!" I have been spending my time at work today reading your blog. I am totally inspired by your travels and it seems that you both had the adventures of a lifetime on this wonderful trip. Congrats on your engagement and on your parachutes opening properly! You both seem like lovely people and I am glad that you both enjoyed yourselves so much. True, you don't know me but I almost feel like I know you both. Almost.
Thai tips Thanks for your comment. Thailand was great, Pai and Chang Rai in the north boast beautiful scenery and friendly locals. In the south its all about the water. Phi Phi was incredible (pick of the bunch) and Ko Lanta not so impressive. If you go to Ko Phan Ngan the beaches to the north are the only place to go and Ko Tao is an absolute must. Keep reading and thanks again.
Looks amazing.. Just read through your blog, loved it! It makes me want to go to Thailand so bad. Can you give any great tips or advice ??
Thanks again for the great read... keep it up!!
enjoyed Always enjoy all things Thai.
wish people would stop paying silly inflated prices of 8ooo bht night.
Phi phi is notorious for having hiked up in price.
Just reading the other comments was great. As I sit in work I'm remembering the great time we had travelling around Peru. The proposal was very romantic I bet. I even paid an old lady with a stick to eavesdrop on the whole proposal! Kevin and Claire - ye'll remember that!! Hope you got my email. Ye're photos are making me amazingly jealous. All the best.

Mai Tai in Pai Hey guys- Had heard Pai was worth a visit and looks to be true. We'll have to try out our thai cookery skills when you return....You really seem to have enjoyed Thailand- we absolutely loved it too- a beautiful place. Made me laugh thinking of you to out of your brains stumbling into a bush...Looking forward to catching up with you guys soon, you keep enjoying and writing your brilliant blogs! Lots of love, Laura xxxxx
522!!! Get in 522!!!!! Given the apparent poor flight safety record you refer to, it seems that the number once again was lucky for you!!!
Hope all is well - I will email you asap re: India, as it would be immense if we could hook up with you. Take care peeps. Tim x

Check you out! You too look great!!! The travelling life is clearly treating you both well...What a great Christmas, know its not the same as being at home but its good doing something different one year and one you'll surely remember. Lots of love to you both, Laura xxxxxxxxxx
Wow, what a trip! Oh my God, I have just spent an entire evening reading your blog from the beginning and have cried tears of joy (+ envy!) You guys are so lucky and are such great writers (and photographers) you should be thinking about publishing this when you return. It will put Lonely Planet out of business! The proposal on Machu Piccu, has to be one of the most romantic moments, I have ever heard of. Clare, I don't know you, but you are a very lucky woman and I hope you have a fantastic future together. You have already made a head start on memories you will cherish forever. Good luck with the rest of the trip and much love from Jo (at energywatch) xxxxxxxxxxxx

Camera question! Hi Leigh
It's great to hear you like the blog and we hope you keep on reading. We're actually a little behind on posting as we're in India now but there will be a steady flow as many are already ready to go.
I use a Canon 350D with extra battery grip and a 17-85mm Image Stabilising lens. The camera's great for travelling if a little bulky in dodgy places but its definately served me well.
If you like my photos then please feel free to check out my website www.kmj-photography.co.uk on which all shots will be loaded when we get home at the beginning of March.
Thanks again for your comments
Kevin
This is a tale of two,
Of Claire and Kevin who,
Met with a parallel dream,
To travel the world unseen.
18 flights ahead,
Each night an unknown bed,
Laden with karrimor packs,
This blog to record our tracks.
Who can tell what’s in store?
Mountains the realm of the Condor,
Bus trips of 22 hours,
Deserts and Tokyo towers.
Crossing the world in all,
Like lines on a tennis ball,
America South and then on,
Rapa Nui to Oz.
There to Asia Southeast,
Eyes and our bellies a feast,
India beckons at last,
Then home it all went too fast.
One planet on which... full info
