Nice I miss Rarotonga a lot! Did you manage to do a walk up to the top of the mountains? I remember going out on a Kayak in to the lagoon and hearing this weird trcikling noise, I looked down and hundreds of tiny fish were skimming just under the surface and then diving under the kayak and popping back up the other side. Good times.
sounds fab but i'm rather jealous. London was sunny for a few days but we are back to proper English weather now. I could do with a few days of tropical relaxation I think. So we are planning a trip to Italy in June which is the nearest we can afford! missing you both. e-mail me some pictures. xxxx
Sleepless in Seatle Seeing the night lights on the New York Syline reminds me of the film Sleepless in Seatle.... did you display any romantic gestures Alex? What a shame it was not Feb 14th Anne!
market All the way to Bangkok and you did not hit the real markets? Khao San is ok, but nothing like the weekend market or china town. Lots of great bargains there.
tea at the palace So many palaces to visit like you we experienced an amazing gastronomical delight in Jodhpur palace just like the Ritz in London. So posh and a waiter each to wait upon you, imcluding in toilet where the boys were set upon by an attendant who produced soap, towels lavender water all at the drop of a hat, he even helped dry their hands. Now that was service!
sounds like morocco your descriptions of 1-4 people on mopeds with all manner of luggage sounds just like morocco (where the street lights seemed purely decorative as were the roundabouts)
sounds like an interesting experience though. can't wait to see you both on your return. xxx all our love, from M as well,
nice hat and umbrella combo glad to see all is well. As of Sunday no-one drowned in the sailing trip to France. Martin and I are home safely and Alexandra was due to follow Tuesday. all our love and counting the days til we all go surfing in Sept as well!! xxx
What are you talking about? The Opera House architect Jorn Utzon would be delighted to hear your critique of his masterpiece! The original design for the shell roofs was in fact unbuildable and he had to work with the engineer Ove Arup to realise his concept. So it just goes to prove the theory that architects don't know anything! Love the night pic. Hang loose Dad x
I have been dreading it! I suppose I should not be surprised you have been threatening to have dreadlocks for ages I guess it is the whole 'gap look' Oh dear Anne what shall we do with him? He will just have to get it out of his system..... hopefully before he retuns to the UK!!! I shall be waiting with the scissors!
Live the moment Alex the clock is ticking. Mum x x x xx
Van Wanted Potential Australian migrant seeks van in October, all reasonable sets of wheels considered. mail to baldmadvanman@hotmale.com. I have 10 Lithuanian Litas as offer of exchange (can't change it for any hard currency, so thought you might be interested as it's worth about £1). Hope to hear soon.
Great new van! It looks splendid now to match new engine. Surely a catch for a retired nostalgic couple? You were lucky to have all that help, all the while being cosseted with home comforts by the tremendous Ann-Marie and Mark.
:) Sounds awesome. I have heard so much about this from all the people I have met in NZ (practically everyone has just come from Oz) and I can't wait to do it myself. Glad you're both having lots of fun...Anne you're so brown! (If it's any comfort Alex you're significantly browner than I am - haha!) Love and hugs xxLaurenxx
Hey! That is one superfly livin'wagon! You planning on pimping it out murphy..? I bloody hope so and you'd better send me the pics or ELSE!
Peace out homeboy
