Thank You...
As it was a good read, when does the publishing deal get signed and when do I get my 5% commission for suggesting the book 6 months ago?

Nice work
You showed the surprising readiness of the Nelson FD, my hostels in Nelson were ok, the YHA which was crowded, and the shitty Bridge Street Backpackers, which I overheard the manager telling the clerk that they had just had a ton of thieving from, glad I only had 1 night there

That's Paul all right: scrambling, sprinting, pressing on.

I remember when Paul and I climbed and climbed to see some glacier (Paul sprinting ahead regardless of the jagged rocks that were hard to scramble over, with me trying not to die). And then it was a small pile of dirty snow. Worst. Glacier. Ever.

Hi Pat - we're only in Sydney for a few days as a stopover between Asia and New Zealand. I've actually been to Australia before and we're just there to catch up with friends, and it should be fun - Sydney is one of my favourite cities!

Aussie Visa
Hi Amber, I know how infuriating it is to have to have visas to go to some places, but you will find it worth it as you should enjoy Australia, How long are you going to be there for?. It is a great country and there is lots to see, you should have a ball. Pat (Aussie)

double eek
Was amused to read your cockroach story, my blog just above yours was my encounter with a mouse, my eek was about the same decibel as yours, happy travels - christine

Agreed
This is why I abandoned the country after 8 hours, too much too fast, too everything.

McLeod Ganj Accommodation
Hello, I hope you enjoy McLeod Ganj - it is a really relaxing place, reasonably clean, and much easier to deal with than some parts of India! We stayed for one night at the Hunted Hill, which was okay, but changed to Pawan House (just sort of near Ladies Venture) as our bed at HH was extremely hard... like sleeping on concrete! Most doubles we looked at cost 300-500Rs but they were bumping the prices up as the Dalai Lama was starting teachings while we were there. A lot of the accommodation in MG starts at the Hunted Hill and you can climb up and find quite a few nice guesthouses from there easily. I'd also recommend eating at Nick's Italian Kitchen when you go - it is known for attracting tourists, but they do lovely breakfasts and make fresh juice that is a real treat. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy your stay! Amber

I can't stop laughing about Paul and that mattress. And so his pushing ahead, regardless of physical discomfort, begins. Next stop: scampering ahead with boundless energy.
