Keep on trucking! Love reading your blogs - thanks for all the wonderful pictures you paint with your words and your camera. What an amazing trip! We'll continue to pray for you. Blessings and much love, Mary & Paul Beck.
You Go Keep it up man. Write it down or you'll forget. Pictures are awesome.
You need tires yet?
We are all in awe as you go. I was talking about your trip with Kamloops, Vancouver and Victoria offices. We all think it is pretty cool.
Trev
Thanks Trevor! I'm on my third rear tire since leaving Edmonton but still have the original front one... probably cause there's so much weight on the back of the bike.
Que te vaya bien! Hi Andrew, looks you are having good trip. Just take it easy (Tomelo con calma). And learn Spanish
as you travel it will be very handy and get to know people you meet. There is a phrase you better say when someone tries to lure into a restaurant. Say 'Acabo de comer' means I just had a meal.
I wish you A Happy New Year, and belated Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year. (Feliz Navidad y feliz ano nuevo).
Aki,
Health & Safety Leader Good on you Andrew.
I hope your health is holding out? Keep well and don't let anyone run you off the road.
Living the dream! Keep Having Fun.
Trevor
All systems are go, just living the beach life for a few days before heading inland. I've been riding with some other bikers for the last little while and will try and keep that up through the next stretch of Mexico since we've heard it can be a little sketchy.
Lane Splitting Apparently you are unaware that lane splitting is legal in California for motorbikes. Instead of sitting in traffic you could have kept going in the gap between the cars in each lane.
In it's current condition, my bike is just a little wider than your average lane splitting bike. Pretty sure if I had tried doing that this blog would no longer be happening.
Haha, glad you got the valve clearance checked out, total hunch on my part. Hard to tell except by the mileage of the bike. Its funny about the coolant temp sensor, that was a common problem that i totally forgot to tell you about (even moreso when riding through wet areas, the connection at the radiator gets corroded easily, simple fix, unplug clean with something abrasive, replug). Dont forget to check your oil level regularly! Certain KLR's burn a lot of oil, especially when riding through lots of climate changes! Good luck and have fun!
Miss you Andrew It was good to hear that you arrived safely in San Francisco. This trip is a real learning experience in many ways. I enjoyed having you with me while you were in Vancouver. Love and blessings, Grandma
Good Luck Good luck to you young man. You will have a lot of fun and learn alot about that motorcycle on this trip. A Trip of a lifetime.
Check your oil and every gas stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Trails Cowboy When are you going to update your blog for those of us that have nothing better to do? G'ma said you're now in Oregon and Nancy said California. Remember not to take any wooden nickels.
Thanks for visiting Seattle! Andrew,
It was great meeting you at Lake City Honda. I was amazed to learn of your exploration and, really impressed with your serious drive for knowledge and learning. I hope what I showed you helps in the coming journey. I will certainly be checking this blog out every now and then, in part because you are doing what I have wanted to do since i started riding and wrenching. If you need any help or mechanical advice down the road, dont hesitate to ask. Safe travels, hope to see you back in Seattle soon.
Alex
Thanks for stopping in Andrew Hey Andrew - Thanks for stopping in our parts department on your way south! Be Safe and Good luck! -MotoSport Hillsboro Crew
I'm taking an eight month leave of absence from work to (hopefully) ride a motorcycle from Edmonton down to Argentina. I really don't know anything about bikes so this should be interesting...... full info
