Philadelphia, I love the place. There was just a really nice vibe going on and so much to see. Unfortunantly I didn't realize this when I was booking only 2 nights stay, leaving me with only one day to look around. The hostel I was in was really good, apple hostels. Its right in the middle of old town, 2 streets from the liberty bell. The staff where really nice throwing free movie nights and ghost tours giving free beer and one guy took us on a kinda pub crawl to the cheap places. excellent! I didn't get to go to the museum where rocky was filmed because I hadn't the time so I will have to make a visit back again to philly some time in my life. I saw my first fire fly, I ... read more



Washington

My short trip to Washington was basically one day. The humidity in the place made one day nearly too much on a tour bus but I just had to sit up top of the double decker in the blazing sun, so its serves me right. Washington's full of monuments and museums and churches and that's really it or that's all I got to see anyway. My hostel was nice though, a step up from New York haha look at pics and stuff blahh blahh. Got ripped off by a taxi man, charged me 25 dollars for a $9.50 journey. I hope that man suffers serious nightmares and has to quit taxing. Taking advantage of little old me, I'm disgusted. Also customer service here is shitty, people are rude probably because they get automatic tips. Hate tipping ... read more

New York is a busy place especially over a holiday period but I survived and seen as many sights as I could. I walked a hell of a lot and that's the best way to see the place also with the help of the subway. The first day I arrived in my hostel there was a bit of drama. Not only did i stick out like a sore thumb in the area for not being latino, I was informed that the hostel had to close under orders from the state. So after 3 days I was moved to Harlem near to central park. The apartment had twelve staying in it the first night and one bathroom (nightmare).
