Backpacking at Sequoia National Forest Freeman Creek Trail Hiked all the way down to Freeman Creek. Amazing tree playground along the way. Maya and Sidd were STOKED. Totally beautiful. Must return and tube the nearby Kern River. [View Full Entry]

Found a great BLM campsite right outside the park entry. NO RVS allowed - awesome!! Running water, privacy and a great view of zion. Angels Landing is the absolute highlight. Walk, err hike up that hill and you can experience something very unique. We carved our initials in the pavement, shshshsh. Awesome hike, awesome camping. Saw cool rockclimbers going up the big wall on Angels Landing. Must return to hike the Narrows in the fall. Maybe the doggies can stay at Doggie Dude Ranch next time. No dogs allowed in the park - boo. Coffee is still legal in Utah. [View Full Entry]

At the peak of the slope on day 1...slopes were getting icy...the Akore was getting stressed.
We just got back from 5 days of free camping at the Buttermilks (just outside of Bishop, in the Sierras of California). April 14 through April 19, 2008. Who: AB, DJC, Sidd, and Maya. Camp sites are first come, first serve - we arrive on Monday and the place was packed. Acitivities: Snowshowing to snowboard-able slopes around the Buttermilks. Tons of ardous hikes abound leading to amazing runs...this is not for the weary. Will be much better in JANUARY! Will return w/ snowmobiles for sure.
