We cracked. We are in a hotel right now. The Seaside Inn... We were driving from Yosemite and it got too dark and there were no nice brown signs on the side of the highway for camping. so we are in our first hotel. Since we last "blogged," we have travelled down the coast. We saw the Redwoods in northern California and they were HUGE. Then we headed towards San Francisco. We stayed with Allison's friends Mary and Jim Shiff in their cute home in Sebastopol, CA. We spent several nights in the area, exploring the little towns near Sebastopol as well as exploring San Francisco with Allison's camp friend, Allie Doak. We did all the regular tourist activities: Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Chinatown, Golden Gate Bridge, etc. We also had a great experience at our ... read more

SO here we are in Bandon-By-The-Sea and we are seeing sun for the first time in a week! Its been very depressing because we haven't been able to do much. We tried hiking in the rain, but then we were soaked and it took 3 days for our clothes to dry. Since Seattle- we went to Olympic National Park and camped there for a night. We hiked in the rainforest and we thought all the moss was really cool looking. After Olympic NP, we started our journey down the coast with high hopes of warm weather and sun. WRONG! Cold and rainy for the forecast (thanks to the wonderful working man, Alex Penning, who is always in front of his computer checking the weather for us!) We explored much of the Washington and Oregon Coasts, hiking ... read more
We decided to skip the rest of the northern part of our trip. It was wayyyy too cold. So we explored a little bit of yellowstone which was gorgeous (gina didnt seen like it though...). After We continued north up to Bozeman, Montana and crashed at Montana State University with our good friend, Conor Bolger. We had a blast with him! We should really say, We had a blast corrupting him. Young Conor is a freshman and we had the privilege of showing him his first college bar experience. We had an awesome time taking Blueberry muffin shots and jager bombs. We especially loved the 3 mile walk back to campus in the cold winter rain- surprisingly it didnt phase us one bit! The next day we drove about 677 miles to Seattle (we were desparate ... read more
We are currently in Jackson Hole, WY- our future home. We've decided that we are definitely going to move here. It's incredible. We are in love with the town of Jackson, but the Grand Tetons are what sold us. They are INCREDIBLE! As we were driving from Buffalo, we couldn't see them yet and we kept thinking they would show up eventually. Then we turned a corner and BAM! There they were and we got out of the car screaming because we were so excited! They are soooo cool. We've done a lot of hiking in the past 3 days here. The first night in the Tetons, we camped at a very cool campground. Unfortunately, it was very chilly... 30 degrees chilly. Luckily, Allison has an old camp friend, Maddy Bennett, who lives with her husband ... read more

Right now we are stealing internet in the Comfort Inn parking lot in Buffalo, WY. So far our trip has been amazing!!!!!!!! The midwest was boring... especially eastern South Dakota. A whole lot of NOTHING- except the world's ONLY corn palace!! But then we arrived at the Badlands and we got to see some topography! We hiked through the Badlands in western South Dakota and then continued to Rapid City into the Black Hills National Forest. We camped in Custer State Park which was beautiful. The leaves were changing and the mountains were tall. This weekend is the Annual Buffalo Herding Round-Up in Custer State Park, so the park was bustling with buffalo herders. The camping has been nice.... Allison got a new sleeping bag that keeps her warm (she found out that the one she ... read more
