Hi, this is harry and Thomas, blogging for the last time. For 2 of the past 3 days we have been staying in disneyland. It was AWESOME. All of us loved it. We went on almost all the rides and out of them our favourites were California Screamin', Twilight Zone:tower of terror, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (which is especially good after dark), Soarin' Over California, Indiana Jones Adventure, Pirates of the Caribbean and a 'Death Ascent' thing on paridise pier (sorry we've forgotten the name of it). It was especially awesome beacause there were no Queues. After that we came to Santa Monica Where we are staying in a posh hotel called the Fairmont. Harry and Thomas, out for the last time.... read more

dr nick: hi everybody everybody:hi doctor nick As you can see above we are now in Los Angeles, but this blog will cover everything since the last one in San fransisco. On the last day in San Fransisco we met one of our mum's old friends who is now living in the suburbs of S. F. . When we went there we played with her son and had a go at playing catch with a few of those big baseball glove things. It was incredibly hard using the glove but suprisingly fun. After having lunch with them we drove to Montery and there we had supper and went to sleep in our Hotel. The next day we drove down the 'Big Sur' (google it) to Hearst Castle, which is basically some rich guy's mansion, but is ... read more

We’re sorry that we couldn’t get to you sooner but now we’re staying in one hotel for a reasonable amount of time (3 days!) we can get some blogging done. As soon as we got up we visited the fort Vancouver (in Washington State not Canada) and there we did a ‘kids dig’ where we dug up items that had already been found around fort Vancouver. After that we drove to Crater Lake which took about 5 hours. We arrived late so we just had supper and went to bed in the Crater Lake lodge, the hotel we were staying in. The next day we got a better look at Crater Lake and it really is beautiful (see the pictures for details). We got our best views after we climbed Garfield peak. The walk up was ... read more

The blog I posted about our last 2 days in NZ failed to post so we're rewriting something about it now. For the last 2 days we stayed with some good friends of ours who used to live in England but moved to NZ. On the first day we played around in their Auckland home and we went to the Auckland war memorial mueseum, where we had lunch and saw and exhibition on food and experieced a volcano (simulator) . Later on honor went to a disco with fergus, the youngest of the family. On the second day we invented a new type of football and went to the beaches north of Auckland. In the beaches we explored the caves that were there and had a picnic for lunch. We had a great time with them ... read more

Sorry for posting nothing in the past few days but the places we have been staying in have had no internet connection. Turns out the blog I posted about Vancouver didn't turn up on the website so I am going to tell you about it now. When we arrived in Vancouver we checked into our hotel-the hotel sylvia. It is a good and reccomended hotel and we enjoyed our stay there, but it is let down by the fact it doesn't have air conditoning. (Alex where did you stay?). After we had checked in we went onto the beach, which meant that we had been on two sides of the pacific at the same time. (the blog we posted about the last two days in NZ - when we stayed with our friends the Forrests in ... read more

Sorry for the lack of blogs, but now i'll try to make up for it. We have been skiing for the first three days since my last entry and we haven't had lots to blog about. I'll breifly sum up those 3 days. On the first day we went to Cardrona, which is one of the ski fields near queenstown. To be honest it was a bit of a disappointment because it is only good for snowboarders. For the next two days we went to Coronet peak which is awesome. It has 'good views', but most importantly good runs, our favourite being Ego Alley. Today we went bungy jumping 42m from a bridge. Here is a quick summary of bungy jumping. It's jumping off a bridge and not dying. Scary but insanely awesome. Do it (just ... read more

Today we went to Milford Sound. Milford Sound has been globally recognised as one of the wonders of the natural world for its outstanding beauty. The coach journey there is 5 hours long but the bus driver gave us running commentary on absolutely everything. When we arrived we got on a boat and sailed around the 'fiord' (sorry, but I don't know what a fiord is, but I think it is something like a lake that is connected to the sea). On that boat ride we saw some of the most beautiful sights (our mum tells us) in the world. It was quite cool because there were cute seals and penguins and the stuff we saw looked pretty nice. The Boat journey took two hours but it felt like about ten minutes (unlike the drive, which ... read more

Yesterday we didn’t actually do anything, apart from sit around in our amazing chalet and look at the weather to see that if our mum had taken one more day to get better we would have been trapped by snow in either Rotorua or Christchurch (well done her!). Today we went to the shotover boat ride, an awesome jet boat ride where you ride in extremely fast boat down a very rocky and shallow river and do tonnes of 360 degree spins and very nearly hit the rocks. When we got back to Queenstown I found a rope on a tree by the lake in Queenstown so I swung on it, and, in the few moments I was swinging on it I had it all: Japanese tourists taking pictures of me, Japanese tourists (again!) queuing ... read more
