Awesome!! Wow! What a day! No wonder you look tired. Swimming in icy river enough to finish most people off, without visiting endless Viking burial mounds, and all the other places, and tasting the nauseous honey-mead. [Note to self: don't mention honey-mead to Nina or she will produce some]Aquarium looked gorgeous: I liked the photo of you silhouetted in front of the aquarium - did Roth take it? Zehr gut! Mimi looking as glamorous as ever, ears akimbo, and les Russells becoming increasingly envious of THE EARS. Hrothgar looking suitably beowulfian alongside the Viking runes. Gosh, you really have crammed a lot in the last few days, and beginning to get a real feeling of Sweden and Stockholm now on weblog...and Sweden in relation to other Scandinavian countries. Enjoy!! Nice Rune! Quite apart from the rather intriguing rune, today's journal was zehr gut! (Ach, du liebe zeit! Das ist Deutsch, nicht Svedisch!! Gott und Himmel etc). Sea/beach looks nice, and Mimi clearly enthused by journey to the beach. Cleo increasingly envious of the butterfly ears...and the frisbee for retrieving from the lake. (Note to self: must get frisbee for Cleo). Tessa to busy skulking to enthuse about anything!! Hope still enjoying sunny Stockholm; you both look happy, which is tres bon! (Damn and blast, lapsed into a Romance language now). Well enjoy the rune hunting. Love Mum xxxx
Splendid! Jolly splendid to see more of Stockholm and splendiferous lakes, bits of archipelago et al. As you so rightly point out, good old British Geography lessons seem to have focussed exclusively on Brit Empire stuff and failed to at any point mention that the capital of Sweden and Scandinavia is formed on a vast archipelago. And of course also excellent to see photos of Roth-man and Ermintrude (as indeed Sal was once nick-named) looking so happy. Enjoy the tranquillity. Love Mumsy xxxxxxxxxxxx
