Hi Andy! You found the blog! Great to hear from you! I'm still using my ntl e-mail for the moment. For now I intend to return home at regular intervals so I've kept the ntl account. I do have vague plans to come out to your part of the world at some point, not sure when. I want to go to some the places that I couldn't really get to in school holidays so it is lots of southern hemisphere stuff. Just not sure how long the money will last. Any jobs going?!?

He told me he used to travel over a lot on business and they gave him his own personal seat in the cockpit. I think that Francis is a man of many stories!! When I was there 2nd time he was being a weather expert and giving me an in-depth account of the weather over the channel.

Wot no hovercraft?
I'm still reeling from the shock revelation about Francis's lack of hovercraft expertise. An illusion shattered. I've forgotten why I thought he was an ex-hovercraft pilot, but there must have been some reason. Any idea what he did do?

Great to see that you're on the road Steve!
Hey Steve, forgive me but I'm crap on facebook. It's great to see that you are travelling. Please send me an email as to your current location. Don't forget to look me up if you get to Malaysia, Borneo, actually Kuching in Sarawak to be exact. We are still teaching at an International school, Physics and Chemistry for me, Biology and Math for Teresa. 5 more weeks then it's our 6 weeks hols, off diving as you would expect. Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers Andy

Fashion tip: for future reference, they let us choose yellow or orange if we prefer (lucky people that we are!), just as long as it's fluoresecent. Naturally one is not expected to use it, and most of them are stuffed in the pocket in the back of front seats still in their plastic bags. I just hope that you had a full set of replacement bulbs and a warning triangle - if you were missing all of that as well, you were a very lucky man indeed to escape back to Blighty.

Are you starting to look more youthful or have you had the photos airbrushed. I think all you oms need a good yearly dose of "lads away stag bisbehavin abroad" to maintain your identity.
