Do the deer in Scotland look different.... I always thought the deer in Scotland looked like the deer here. And Amie deer DO NOT LOOK LIKE DOGS
Cheers, Cathy
Not sure which I am more jealous of.... hmmm..... man running in kilt or watching the highland games. I just cant decide which one I am more jealous of. :)
Cheers, Cathy
P.S I (L) U!!!
Bus ride..... The words bus, plane, bus another bus make me want to scream. I cant imagine sitting on a bus for that long. It just sounds WAY TO LONG!!! I would have made that a two day travel day. But then again, backpackers are CRAZY. I would fly everywhere too.....
Cheers, Cathy
There is green space in Dublin?? I dont recall seeing green space in the city. All I remember is the massive amounts of people that were in such a HURRY!!!
Cheers, Cathy
P.S I MISS YOU!!!
HUSBAND?!?!? Hey buddy, thanks for trying. I dont need his number providing you, my directionly challenged friend, could find his house again. :) I have faith in you buddy. Although, I am not going to hold my breathe.
Cheers, Cathy
P.s I cant help but notice that the date on this blog is August 29 and today is really Sept 24. I think my theory of you guys hanging out at your house right now trying to get your blogs down before you announce that you are home is totally correct. (I think I might make a surprise visit thursday night/friday morning just to see) :)
this reminds me of something.... The totally reminds me of something. I recall arriving in Paris with no pants. Only shirts, shorts and sandals. I feel for you guys. I know how much that sucks. Hang in there......
Cheers, Cathy
............. May the gift of gab enter your life. YAY!!! Amie after three kisses of the stone I wonder what effect it will have. You must be talking a mile a minute :) Just kidding buddy, we all know that the stone is really just a way to pass disease around and that no one really makes contact with it. I wonder what kissing the air in front of the stone gives you?
Cheers, Cathy
Hmm.... I guess on a trip like this you are going to have to encounter shitty places like that. It just wouldnt be good for business if the shitty hostel called themselves "shitty sleep hostel" or "Dirty is our middle name" Take care and see ya soon, Cathy
running cows, eh? I got a good story that totally tops that. My dad and I went finishing a little while ago for the day and we drove past a cow pasture. However, they werent running. I guess it was mating season or something. Man did that look akward. I made my dad slow down so I could see it better.
Cheers, Cathy
I think there is something missing from this visit... Hey, That is really cool that you got the tour. Definately means you can see more then you would have say, when you are just wandering around for the sake of wandering. I totally know what you are talking about with the DJ thing. Talk about BORING!!! I cant help but notice a little something missing from your visit to Amsterdam. Was there any cafe visits? I know how much you girls have been enjoying the coffee lately ;) Cheers, Cathy
Missin you!!! I just cant seem to get enough of your adventures!! Its too bad that the hostels have to suck so bad :S But, atleast you guys are having lots of fun regardless of the sleeping conditions. Finding someone of husband material is a tough task! Too bad you couldnt get his number, lol. Well, cant wait to see you guys when you come home...hopefully we havent moved before you get here!! Take care and hope to see you soon!!!
unkown...... Hey, so about this Mini Holland. Was it as big as Europe in Miniature? Did they have the cube houses? What about windmills? I cant believe you guys watched that many episodes of Lost.... no wait, I can... It is as addicting as DOG "THE BOUNTY HUNTER" :D
Cheers, Cathy
P.S I(L)U!!! COME HOME SAFELY SOON!!!
Is that possible?!?! I cant believe you found a clean hostel..... Did you check under the bed? was there finger prints on the windows? Dust on the side tables?
WOW!!!! It does exist.
Cheers, Cathy
I remember the vial....... hey, I am glad they are starting to make the churches more welcoming and not just a tourist trap. I know that always bothered me about visiting them. I remember that vial of blood in the church. I was crazy to be part of the experience when it was brought out. People were so into it.....
Cheers, Cathy
CHICKEN :( well, I realize that people eat chicken at times.... i will be okay as long as NO ONE tries to give it to me. But I must ask....... Did it taste good? :S I think it rained last time you were in Brugge. In fact i know it did. I recall drinking cherry beer and playing cards while we tried to dry off last year.
Cheers, Cathy
P.S I (L) U !!!!!
Didnt want to attempt the stairs again??? Hey buddy, Brugge, eh? Isnt that where we stayed in the hostel with the crazy steep stairs?? I just can't believe you wouldnt attempt those again. :) Sand castle competitions are pretty sweet. They just finished the one in Harrison here. You should check those ones out some time, when and if you ever come home :)
Cheers, Cathy
Sucks the beer museum didnt get any better.... I can't believe it rained again while you were there. I remember we did the same thing last year when it poured. To bad the beer mesuem hasnt gotten better. I think the bathroom there was the best part :)
Cheers, Cathy
Goodbye coffee.... well, although coffee is wonderful. I (L) starbucks :) I much prefer the drinking stories. Besides my dad needs you to come home and hit the wine again. He needs the empties to make his own :) Cheers, Cathy
P.S Miss you lots
Sand Castles and stuff Things are sounding pretty good over there. Those sandcastle competitions can sure produce some amazing projects. Have a great day.
"Special" well, I am glad to hear that your new hostel was not "special" :) The windmills must have been really great!! It all sounds lovely (even with the rain!!) I'm glad to hear of the fooding as well!! Mmmm keep on enjoying!
54 miles!!! THat is insane, I didn't even know that you guys rode bikes! Good on you, sounds like quite an adventure, and I agree with Cathy, coffee, not wine???
coffee?!?!? hey, I am not sure what happened here. Did the two of you age while you were away. Coffee??? what happened to the beer and wine???
Cheers, Cathy
P.S We are going drinking (NO COFFEE) when you get home. I need to bring you back to your real age. :)
Imagine three years of 'planning' or more just talking about a far off vacation...two crazy sisters in different locations...and the off chance their schedules would converge. Europe 2006 horray! And all it took was for one to graduate University and the other to quit her jobs :D
For those of you who don't know us here's a short bio. Angele is a Biochemist whom just graduated from UVic and worked shortly at the university. She enjoys cartoons, photography and Swing dancing (DANCING people!) Her recent home has been Victoria BC. Amie, who recently returned from an internship in Wales an... full info
