The Western Loop - 2015

a trip by Don & Jill
From: June 30th 2015
Until: July 18th 2015

This adventure starts and ends in Las Vegas. We begin by heading south to San Diego with a quick side trip across the border for "dos cervezas" then up the coast from San Diego through LA and along the famous Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco, north through Portland and Seattle, with the northern leg culminating in a ferry ride to Victoria BC for an overnight. The southern leg of the trip takes us to Reno and eastward across Rt 50, the "loneliest highway in America," to Eureka before continuing south for stops at Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. Finally back to LAS to catch a flight home. We expect the drive to be somewhere about 5,000 miles. (Thank God for rental cars with unlimited mileage!) So, that's the PLAN anyhow, but if you know us, we could get sidetracked so we can see the world's largest frying pan or the monument to the first Conestoga wagon or . . . just about anything. In which case, our carefully made plans will change.
