I can't believe that you guys had to have the cylinder head rebuilt - that is what we had done in Cains (3000kms) before we sold it to you in Melbourne!! All new valves in the cylinder head, and new rings for the pistons! He chinzed us a new timing chain which we had to have replaced in Mt. Iza - 1500kms from Cairns! He must have really f'd it up!! If you ever get there - look him up and let him know how his handiwork panned out - he screwed the both of us. And he charged us $3000!! And caused the $1500 timing chain repair - then your $2000. That is $6500 that he caused the two of us... phewf! How has Betsy been running lately? No probs? Sounds like you guys are having a blast over there - reading your entries brings back a lot of memories. We worked about 2 months on farms and had similar experiences. The whole looking for the 'best' work thing is somewhat taxing - so many false leads. How much longer in Oz? Do you have an idea of where you are going to head to for the rest of you adventure? Any plans to make it to NZ? That place is wicked. Take care and enjoy the rest of your travels! JB
