keep 'em coming Hi Kate, Your messages are just great and I'm sorry I haven't acknowledgement receipt of them until now. Is this the only way to contact you directly? Are you feeling any better now? I'm worried that there's been no message for the last week or so. As Sophie said, your messages brighten up the day--adding a much needed bit of colour to the all-white landscape I'm living in here in Edmonton.
love to you both, Garry
Hi there Hi Kate or should I say Watto. Sorry I didn't manage to say goodbye before you left but great to read about your adventures. Will let the GM gang know your blog address. love Cath
can't believe you're called watto All these years I've worked with you - and I never realised you had an alter ego called watto. Oh well. There's that song - if this old world is getting me down then something something up on the roof. You know the one? Sounds good, glad you've found a safe place in the wasteland.
4.20 lull ello wat wat. Nice to have the 4.20pm lull relieved by your stories.
I've still got green poo stain on my mosqito net from dodgy bot in varanasi.

thailand? How long are you in thailand? why didnt you come through india instead? it sounds like everyone is having scary monkey experiences, you're best off in NZ i reckon! hey, did you know there's a womad there this year? and are you going to be keeping a blog too?
yikes Hey Nikki, yikes, keep yourself locked indoors under a nice comfy duvet! dont come out till spring, you can take your cityscapes from your window!
yes precisely! Yes ant that's why I dont want to know! although I do seem to keep finding myself pondering whether or not I do actually want to know... no no no, I dont!!!!!!! stop it.
erm...Kate's blog? hi chick, sounds like your having a fab time, apart from sickness of course! you seem to be seeing more music than me, dane's practising 24/7 and i can rarely go out on my own. too big and theres a rapist on the loose so bit silly to go wandering about. bobs pics look amazing, i'm waiting to get the perfect cityscape shot! have fun x
oof Kate,
I'm thrilled to be reading your blog. Everyday at work, you transport me to a wonderful world of travelling adventures. I'm thoroughly enjoying the vicarious thrill of it all.
I was attacked by a little monkey on a chain in Nicaragua. He savaged my hand and I was so self-conscious I swatted him nervously without making a peep until he drew blood. Sounds like you did admirably. love, sophie b
hello Hi Kate - would they really tell you when you are going to die? I'm amazed. I'd be quite tempted to find out what they say but then it could also turn into a nightmare - espeically if they said you were going to get run over as soon as you left the building. Happy thoughts.
Ooh, look at you learning tabla Hello, I'm enjoying your tales - sounds like you're not just sitting about taking in the scenery:-) Weird to read about your monkey experiences today as I just had a similar (tho luckily, just the teeth barring, not the lunging) experience today! I'm in Thailand by the way, not new zealand yet - they don't have monkeys in new zealand! have fun and keep writing xx

Hi Kate,
Hope both you and Bob are fully recovered now. Enjoying your blog lots - It's a totally different world from rainy old Huddersfield.
PS: Loved the piece in the Examiner!
Love Debs x
Hellooo! Hello you two! Happy new year! We've just got back from Ireland which was slightly odd (we were in the most anti-English Irish-speaking bit) but not a patch on your experiences! We nearly got blown away in gale force winds....but it sounds like your wind is probably worse! Can Bob put any photos on the blog?
Tabla lessons sounds brill, I've been working with quite a few asian musicians who are bloody amazing....but they do say it's a laborious undertaking to do it properly. Baggy havin you in my band when you get back!
Have a fab time, hope the runs clear up and the monkeys stay away...
Big love from Shat!

Crikey Hello Watto and Bob. How great it sounds to eat breakfast atop a hotel with a teethy monkey! I can just imagine the 'pathetic batting' scenario. Very funny. Music lessons sound great! Keep it all up. What's a tabla? Annie x
silly stones thankfully they were crumbly stones so not too bad - bob looked at them with all their jaggedness and thought I was a nutter!
Cant wait till you get internet - superdooper, what a trooper - that is so true, thanks for everything! love you xxx
