Well i was a bit hung as we got into Narita International. Got though customs no probelms at all. It was kind of cool. They took pics of my fingerprints and my face as well. Not too many questions at all. Got into the bag pickup and mine was one of the last. I was kinda worried that it might of continued on to Bangkok without me. I was ready to report it when i finally saw it shoot out on the conveyor. AHH After that i lined up in the line in the pic. Nothing major its was easy they asked me a few questions and i was off. First i looked outside. It almost looked like Canada but a bit warmer maybe 20 degrees out. After that i got out 20,000 YEN which was ... read more

Well it was an early wake up call for me today. Mom drove me out to the airport shortly after 420. Not for any paticular reason but i had to be there 2 hrs early. It was just pissing rain outside on the way out. My dad even got up to say goodbye. He even waved out the window which almost got me. Mom made me a cup of coffee and told me the whole way out that i should keep this travel mug in case i need it. I thought it would be a waste of space but kept it just to make her happy. Man im not gonna miss this rain thats for sure. Got out to the airport and it was busy already. The first flight to Vancouver was at 530! Ungodly hour ... read more

Woke up around 8ish from the ramble tamble of the train. There wasnt anyone in the room which was kind of surprising since im used to waking up to random ppl chatting in the cabin. We were getting close now it was certainly warm outside and it looked lovely. Got to Nice around 930am and jumped off. Ahhh im here. SO warm. I read up about Nice and it said that if i wanted a hostel get a spot secured before 10 or else there will be NO chance. There was supposed to be quite a few spots close to the station. A Canadian girl told me the same when i said hi when i saw her flag. SHe was just leaving so that sucked. Walked to where she told me to go and didnt find ... read more

Got to the station and wanted to get a coffee to go with my croissants. Not much was open at this god for saken hour. I cant believe i was still up and running to be honest. The sun was just coming up over the horizon and it was magnificient. Seeing the sun rise in Paris was one of the cooler things i had seen on my trip!! I dont even think i got a pic of it. It just seemed like the whole world was asleep still and here i was ready and anxious to get the hell out of town. Realistically i could have spent another week here but i would be dead broke and would have to go home so NOPE. No coffee shops were open that i could get a take away so ... read more

Ahhh great sleep. Almost too good cause I slept in past the deadline for breaky. ha not again! I packed up my stuff for check out at 10. Came downstairs and managed to score some of the bits leftover. Tons of croissants left over and coffee. That was pretty much the whole breakfast anyways. I took like 8 croissants!! Had 3 or 4 for breakfast cause they dont fill you up that well. Not very good for you either. I filled up my plastic mug that I had been packing around since Munich and made use of the damn thing. I get out the door and I totally spilt coffee on my polo shirt! Right in the center. Ha whatever. Got to the metro station and they didnt sell tickets. Hmmm ok. There were these other ... read more

Fell asleep in no time in this dark corner of the station. Very elegant station I must say. I slept for about an hour and then my train was there to take me to PARIS!! Well not quite actually I had to do a couple of trains to avoid those nasty reservation fees. The train left from Antwerp at around 630 and I was fast asleep in no time. We came to a stop sooner then I expected and the anouncer came on saying something or other totally in French. It turned out this was the last stop. There was construction on the track in front and we had to catch a bus to get to the city of Amiens. This trip led us right through the battle fields of the SOMME. Mostly flat farm land ... read more

I HAD to visit this VAN GOGH museum. It was part of the origional plans of this trip so I couldnt leave town without that. But that just meant I couldnt catch a train out of Amsterdam till later on in the afternoon. I checked it out and the museum was open at 10am. Ah it was fine I could just go back to the hostel and hang out for abit and maybe get some breaky. Problem was it was raining. Pissing rain actually. As soon as I left the station from my slumber!! I didnt bring an umbrella for space reasons. I figured I would be fine with just a rain jacket. NOPE. Best thing to do with the rain is keep it the hell away from you. I walked towards the hostel to go ... read more

I got up and was banging around as loud as I could to try and disturb the punk below me!! He deserved it I should have made his morning an absolute hell but he just kept sleeping. HAHA whatever I was up now and ready to make the most of my day in Amsterdam. Had a shower and shaved my hairy face. ThiS chick stole the shower from me when I had my stuff inside. One of those Latino chicks. I thought weed smokers were supposed to be friendly happy go lucky type people!! Anyways I got in the shower just as some other guy was trying to get in front of me. Had my shower which was something I didnt have access to much lately. You know when you just have to have a shower ... read more

Woke up around 930 to be prepared for this afternoon train. John was already up and at em. Lonne had just started setting up the table in the living room for breakfast. I set up the computer to check for a hostel in Amsterdam. Probably a good idea to book one now since I wouldnt be there till late at night. I added them to facebook to keep in contact with them as well. Sat down for breaky and lots of coffee to go around. Didnt even feel that hung which was great. Maybe im a borderline alky and it doesnt effect me anymore. Hope not. I told John about the next station I had to catch a bus to get to and he was like oh thats just as close as the other one cause ... read more
