Gross gross gross. Never have I been more glad to be a vegetarian! You two are definitely courageous! How about a picture of a pineapple or something next time, eh? LOL
candelabra First, as a single candle holder, that would properly be called a candelabrum, amigo.
Second, if it was for a Jewish pirate, it would have been called "The Menorah" (and it would have had seven branches; I only count three).
Please refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menorah for more information on Menorahs in general :)
How could you? Did you actually know what you were eating at the time, or did you find that out later? They look a bit like guinea pigs or overgrown rats, only cute. I don't think I could come at eating them. We ate turtle up at Cape York and I was horrified to learn that they don't kill them before they slice pieces off; they like their meat really fresh. I hope those poor little things were killed first!
You are certainly having a fantastic time and learning about history and other cultures. Take care of yourselves and keep on having fun!

After almost five years of being happily married, relocating to a different country and many years of continuous work and study, we (the World-Wide Wanderers, Daniel & Janice West) have decided to take some time and go see those parts of the world that we either haven't been to or haven't spent nearly enough time in!!
I look forward to "reporting" our adventures to you over the coming months as we travel South and Central America; South, West and East Africa; the Middle East and Holy Land; India and Nepal; South East Asia; Australia; and Eastern and Central Europe... full info
