It is la Caleta. I spent the summer in Cadiz :). Die Another Day (James Bond) was filmed on the beach there! Oh, and so was Knight and Day, which is a new movie coming out with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz sometime in June.

Haha!
I did... you're right. How soon I forget. I even blogged about that, didn't I? Hahaha.

cars?
Sounds like a very fun and interesting evening! However, did you forget so soon our rental car experience with the GPS navigation to the rio tinto and the pueblos blancos? Love, Mom

Duly noted
I do not deny that Mr. Bird incorporates whistling quite splendidly into his music, but I myself am incredulous as to what that has to do with you whistling at his concerts. But you have a point. Who am I to criticize such a simple pleasure? Though I have to admit, I may have just been disappointed because what I really wanted was to hear someone singing Andrew Bird songs with a Spanish accent. No one came through for me.

Incredulous
I am still hesitant to believe your claims that you navigated anyone anywhere. Although, if this is indeed the case I must say that I am impressed. I always knew you had it in you. Beyond this, I will say that I do not sing along at Andrew Bird concerts, but I am among the people who whistle along with the whistling parts. I fancy myself an adept whistler, and if you want to make fun of me, then I challenge you to find another popular musician who incorporates whistling as well as Mr. Bird. P.S. I am now going to nitpick your composition for editorial purposes. P.P.S. Second paragraph, 7th sentence: Did you actually hang out those boys or did you mean to include a "with" in that sentence? P.P.P.S. Final paragraph, second to last sentence, you need an "it" after if.

Stuff
Let's see, an entirely new wardrobe, an arabian rug and countless souvenirs. How do you plan on getting all this booty back to the U.S?

Where Have All the Mullets Gone?
Interesting to hear about the current fashion trends of Spain. When we were there nearly 5 years ago, the big fashion (nightmare) was the mullet. I do not know why this was so, but all the guys seemed to have them! Stephen was so scared of ending up with one that he brought me along to the barber to translate. :) Underwear outside the pants seems an only natural progression in Spanish fashion...

directions
It's okay if you don't have a good sense of direction. It is just your parietal lobe malfunctioning...who needs that anyway :)

I forgot that the Alchemist took place in Andalucia...I may have to read it again myself! I am also glad that we took the time for a day trip to Granada to see the Alhambra.... and that we actually made it in time for our scheduled 30 minute entry time. Amazing!

I'm sorry you inherited my navigational skills...however it is always such a pleasant surprise when I find my way too and from challenging new destinations. Most people take that for granted!

Too funny!
Reminds me of teaching ESL. I would have loved to see your attempt at not smiling when they said that.

No te preocupes!
Don't worry, I certainly don't think all Spanish people love bullfights. I know it's been outlawed in several cities and that there are many demonstrations against bullfights, and I perhaps should have mentioned this. Thanks for your comment.

No me gustan los toros
Please, don't think all spanish people love bulfights. Actually I think the vast majority of us dislike it. I found as cruel and stupid as most of you do. My grandfather loves it though, but I think young people here show litlle or no interest at all in them. I know its a part of spanish ¿culture? or at least the image others countries have, but i'd feel really happy if this was lost forever. Have fun.
