Missing you guys Hi. I don't know how, but I forgot about your blog. The kids talk about Ava often so I will be excited to show them updates. We miss you.
More Info Hi Kirtland and Ava,
I am so interested in your adventures in China. Your first encounters didn't sound too promising, but these last few telling about your connections with new friends has been fascinating.
In your last entry you told about getting help for Ava when she cut her hand. You closed saying you would tell more about what had happened in your next entry. Did I miss that entry or will you still be sending more information later on? Still curious. Glad you had such good help from your friends. Is Ava's hand healing well?
Love in the Lord,
Pastor Carl
Hey PC! No, you didn't miss any blogs :-) I am going to write about Ava's hand tomorrow. I have been without internet for almost a week. They changed companies without telling any of the foreign teachers, so we've been scrambling for wifi. I have updated photos and information on that. It looks like the outside is doing well, but we can't be sure about the inside yet. More on that to come... Thank you for reading!

Kirtland T.T I feel so bad looking at Ava's fingers, so bad. It's terrible that you two had to endure this. Ava!!!!!!! It's like the whole world is shutting down. Aweful scene. I am relieved that you have people help out and still feel horrible for Ava and you. It's such a nightmare. I want to cry. Kirtland Ava!!!!!! Please God bless their journey in China and Ava can ride out this horrible accident. God please bless their every step along the way.!! No more heartbreaking injuries! Kirtland you are a tough mom. Don't be too hard on yourself. Ava is the best kid and she will recover soon! She has too!!! God bless Kirtland and Ava. I love you two forever. Be strong. Buckle up my honey.
Beautiful, Caring Friends Hi Kirtland- I am so glad to hear that Ava is okay. Please give her a hug from me. What a traumatic experience for the two of you and your friends. Please continue to keep us posted.
with hugs,
Katie
Dear Kirtland,
I hope by now you are calm. It must have been a terrible experience... thanks god, you have Chinese friends who could help you. I pray for you and Awa. I hope you will be fine. I am with you
Pavla from Hradec Králové
Miss you Pavla! Pavla,
We are not quite out of the woods yet. She is having some trouble with the hand and the hospital is an hour's drive. So, I'm not quite calm. It is really, really difficult. As you said, I am very lucky to have these wonderful friends here. Thank you for writing and reading the blog. I hope everything is well with you and all my HK friends. We think of you and the new EMU students often.
very touching countryside tour Kirtland, I am glad that you got to experience traditional Chinese culture first-hand. It's always touching to have such a devoting friend. Your tour shocked me as I even haven't seen places like that before. I think it was a huge deal to them that you guys all came and visited. Their hospitality is guaranteed. I am happy to see that Ava is so mature in dealing with all this and still remember the most beautiful things other than anything unpleasant. It must be interesting for other kids to get to see and play with her. You guys brightened up other people's life and I am sure May would be able to cherish even bigger dreams as she is influenced by you guys as well. I am happy for you all.
PS: I noticed on FB that Lauryn's birthday is coming. I highly suggest that you guys go to buy a Chinese birthday cake at that good-quality bakery you mentioned before....I just feel like Chinese birthday cake tastes different as here. :-) Make sure you guys do a lot of fun things on her birthday and keep nourishing your beautiful experience in China. :-D
finally Finally, I saw you four faces all together! I am happy for you guys! It was a wonderful day :-) Once more, I am so happy that life has been so interesting and wonderful to you guys :-)
I love your blog honey! Reading your blog became one of my most relaxing and enjoyable things to do. I love reading it and was thrilled to know any interesting things in it. I am so happy that Ava is loved by so many and she is quite a catch in China. :-) I love you guys! Now I am going to read your next blog. :-)
"Places" coming your way We have finally had time to do some touristy things in Nanchang, but I haven't had time to write about them yet. So, expect some photos and videos from temples and such to be posted by the end of the week. I miss you JJ! Email me with your skype ID so we can Skype.
Thank you for sharing!! Kirtland!! I love this blog entry :) I am so glad that Ava is having a great time in China. It makes me happy to hear that she is making friends already. Tell her "hi" from me :). I miss you all and hope everyone continues to do well! Hugs, Katie
I am a single mom seeking to see the world with my daughter Ava through Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I'm really excited to experience new traditions and live amongst other cultures with her while sharing our experiences with anyone interested. Also, I want to show that this is something that single moms CAN do! With fortitude and open minds, we can achieve just about anything.... full info
